“Okay for short stay but not suitable for non-smokers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

We stayed in an upstairs room in this motel in October 2013. The motel is in a good location (off the Pacific Highway) but you'll need to drive to the town centre. There is traffic noise at night. We stayed in non-school hols so the place was quiet. The room was reasonably well sized with table and chairs for dining, a fridge, TV and wardrobe. The decor was uninspiring, probably because in summer the rooms are full of families so there is no need to overdecorate. The bathroom was generously sized and simple. The towels were acceptable but bring your own if you are fussy. The shower water pressure was thin and the temperature control disappointing. The bed was queen-sized but a little on the soft side. The air-con unit was ancient but with the help of a ceiling fan the room was kept cool. The room could be quite hot at night in summer unless you left the air-con on. If you are a non-smoker don't stay here as people are allowed to smoke outdoors and the smoke drifts into the room. We won't stay here again.

We stayed here for a one night stop over on the way to qld, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the facilities were clean and comfortable, we decided to cancel our 4 nights somewhere else on the way back and stayed 4 nights at the sancutuary motor Inn instead and again we were very happy with it, we also ate at their restaurant two nights in a row, served sone lovely meals by a very nice waitress. I would recommend the sancutuary motor Inn to anyone who would like a comfortable stay and friendly service.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights and found it really good value for money. The room was big, the bed was firm, there are shampoo and other toiletries dispensers in the bathroom and the shower had good pressure with plenty of hot water. The bathroom was very spacious as well.

This establishment is placed along the Pacific Highway however the bugs in the forest were so loud that no traffic could be heard and I slept really well - I love nature sounds so it did not bother me. My room faced the forest in the back and I'd ask for the same room next time around.

Due to the public holidays the restaurant was not open and room was not made up on that day but I did not care about that. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: No covered car park. Rooms facing the forest have nature views and sounds.

We found this Motor Inn excellent and certainly value for money. It was clean, roomy, and the bed very comfortable. Shower was good, both size and water power, and had dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was also excellent and value for money. Fran at reception was very friendly and informative, and our waitress at dinner was attentive without being intrusive. It's on the south side of the Pacific Highway, and a little way out from the Town Centre, but we would certainly recommend this motel.

Room Tip: We had Room 6 on the ground floor and were really pleased with the location. Didn't use the a...

We stayed here a few years ago because we had a car on a trailer and it was the only place we could park, safely, and the rooms were ok then. So 2 years on, we are back here on our way home from the Gold Coast, and the rooms have been refurbished and they are really nice and modern looking. The air cons are old, but they still do the job. Im sure we will be back again in July when we travel North with the car and trailer again.

We stayed at this resort motor inn and found the rooms clean and tidy. We had a reasonable night's sleep however it was interrupted by the air conditioning 'kicking in and out' but other than that we would definitely stay there again.
The caretakers are friendly and helpful and only too happy to provide information regarding the surrounding area.
Breakfast was your normal style buffet with cereals, tea, coffee, and hot food such as eggs, bacon, tomato, sausages and mushrooms. Cold fruit and packets of muesli and yoghurt to top it all off.
Dinner we found quite delicious and well cooked 'carpet bag steak stuffed with oysters'. Menu is fairly simple and the waitress was very prompt and courteous. The decor I would describe as very '70's' quite eclectic and we liked it, other guests may not.
All in all reasonably priced and I would recommend anyone to stay there.

Traveling from North on the Pacific Hwy I could not turn into the motel till a couple Km further by turning into a side street then doubling back. The same when trying to turn to go South. I had to go North and chuck a U. Very steep driveway. Set on several acres and appeared a more a forest retreat than a Resort. It is a motel, not a Resort. If reception was a bit ordinary as booking was mixed up. Eventually sorted. Could not get parking near my room. Lucky it was not raining. Room it, a Deluxe Spa room was quite large and clean. A very large flat screen TV. Room had been refurbished but not by a professional. Spa was big. As usual few motels provide a grab bar to assist in getting out of spa.Soap feet and wet floor can result in slipping so a grab Bar can be handy.

Room Tip: Try getting room on ground floor in the main block close to main entrance.
