The motel was not that great. Rooms dark but clean. The hidden gem was the restaurant. Wow! Some of the best food we had over the seven week trip around the world. Worth going just for the food.

The rooms are basic however they are very clean. We have now stayed at this place twice and it has been great. Only downfall would be that kids didnt have much to do there. A little playgroung would be great.
The staff are ver obliging and friendly. having stayed at other Coffs harbour hotels/motels, this is by far and away the cleanest.
Make sure you ask for a room away from the road and I am sure you will have a good nights rest.
I am hoping to be able to dine in the restaurant some time as it has been closed both times we have stayed due to public holidays

We will definitely stay here again.

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor about this motel, I was a little surprised when we arrived. It didn’t really live up to my expectations.

We did book the standard room which was the cheapest room so that may have something to do with it. However, I can only comment and review on what I saw.

Thank goodness it was only an overnight stay for us while we were heading north. I could not have stayed there any longer than that. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was too dark, the shower was horrible. It is the worst shower I have been in, the water almost dripped out. I could here the traffic all night so I didn’t sleep a wink. I could not wait to get out of the place the next morning.

In their defence, the other rooms could be much better and more comfortable. The gentleman checking us in was very friendly also.

I have learnt a lesson!!!

This must be the best place to stopover on your way up or down the East coast of Oz! It is a budget motel and of course the rooms reflect that, but they are very large and well maintained. The best thing about this hotel has to be the restaurant which is built as a windmill. It certainly made up for the torrential rain that day and the many hours of driving from Sydney. The staff on reception were so friendly and took time to chat with us about our holiday. Great place and great value for money.

We stayed here for a couple of nights en route from Brisbane to Sydney, and we’re glad we did. It started to rain, and I mean rain, as we arrived in Coffs Harbour and it continued to rain throughout the entirety of our stay – to be able to park right outside the chalet room door was a godsend when it came to loading and unloading the car.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the manager and maintained a friendly banter with him and his staff throughout the period of our stay. The room was very spacious, very clean and well equipped for a motel lodge of this category – even including a mini bar!

There is a restaurant on site in the form of a genuine Dutch Windmill, it’s closed Sunday evening – yes, we arrived Sunday evening. We paddled to the Windmill on the Monday of our stay and enjoyed an excellent reasonably priced meal – service was a bit slow but we credited this to the fact it was the new chefs first night, anyway we were in no rush to brave the elements and paddle back to the room so we had another bottle of wine when the main course arrived.

There is a wireless broadband facility available, however there was a fault on this whilst we were there and we could not access it from our room – it seems the repeater aerial that served our part of the site was not functioning, although no one seemed aware of this until we pointed it out.

Overall, despite the weather, this was an enjoyable – albeit relatively basic place to stay and we would definitely consider staying there again if in the area

We spent only one night in this motel after a long drive from sydney on our way to Brisbane. It was a nice and relaxing stay. The room was ok not fancy but very clean and roomy. The service was excellent and the manager and his wife were very helpful and friendly answering all our needs in timely manner. the location is a little bit away from downtown and the main attractions but I don't mind stay in it again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Coffs harbour.

Its was the easter break and coming from Brisbane thought we would try it out. Its not too far out of the hustle of the town. It was lovley and quiet no noisy traffic! The rooms very very clean and service each day. We did the big Banana thing. Its going to be even bigger soon as they are expanding it and putting in a water park. Fully recommend the Green house for something to eat! they have a small kids area while you wait for food. Its also next to the cinema which is also handy if weather raining. We also went to George's Gold mine. Its a bit of a drive but well worth it. Also if you have a 4wd its great and on the way back there are some great 4wd tracks. Cant wait to go back.
