I had forgotten the size of the wow factor after nearly 20 years. My co visitors were very impressed as well. Due to time restraints we only did the self guide cave and then the thermal pool. Take mozzie repellant!

“Some of the most spectacular limestone caves anywhere in the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2012

Jersey Cave is the one not to miss , but each of the four , have their differences and highlights. the caves are not huge but have amazing colours and formations. NSW Parks Service staff are excellent - informative and helpful. Accommodation [ self-catering] is available at the Cave House on site. Lovely, very well renovated 1900's building, very comfortable.

“Very cheap - no nanny state - many activities - lots of freedom”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2010

Lots of activities: hot spring pool, swimming in alpine rivers, exploring caves, bush walks with nice picnic sites. Best for all, no health and safety personnel regulating everything you do.

Best attraction - jumping into the hot pool then running down to a nearby alpine creek to cool off.

“Beautiful, tranquil spot, even on a rainy day.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2010

Access to caves is via 6K of good gravel off main road. Note that there is no town of Yarrangobilly as such, nor Kiandra, so if you need fuel or food, you won't get either. There are excellent (flushing!) toilets near the visitor info centre. Food and drink are also available there. We did the self-guided tour through the South Glory cave. Costs $13 per head, in addition to the $3 park use fee.Cave was lovely, but the motion-sensing lighting could have been a bit more...sensitive. Was pretty dark in places. We also did a 1 k walk beside the river to the thermal pool. This is a lovely walk and we suspect would be prime platypus-spotting country at dawn and dusk.
