We had to attend a meeting a Parliament House and hence planned to spend the night having driven from Sydney.
We usually stay at the Hyatt, however it was booked out and luckily we were able to secure the last room available at Hotel Realm.
Ultra modern best describes it and it has the WOW factor. Staff whether reception or cleaners were friendly and efficient.
The size of the room was amazing as was the fit out and ambience, just great with a kitchen, lounge, dining and beautiful bedroom. As good as anywhere in the world at this price point. We stayed in the Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons Sydney which was 6K for the night the room being marginally larger but the fit out was not as good as Hotel Realm.
We ate at the casual restaurant/bar and the food was first class. I hear what others are saying however we are a couple in our 50's and we just loved it and we would not hesitate in recommending Hotel Realm to all and sundry.

Hi Phillip,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write an overwhelmingly encouraging review of the Hotel Realm. I am thrilled to hear you enjoy your stayed and that in your opinion, our property is on par if not exceeds other international hotel chains.

We hope to welcome you back to the Hotel Realm upon your return to Canberra.

Thank you again.

Kind Regards,

Emil Kovacik

Recently enjoyed the "Kingdom Package" at the Realm which included a one-bedroom executive suite; a two course dinner for two with wine; buffet breakfast and free parking. The location was good being adjacent to Parliament House and a short distance from other national institutions. We had a couple of drinks in the bar prior to dinner and although reasonably busy the area lacked any real character - a little bland and sterile in fact.

The one bedroom suite was well appointed, clean and provided a good nights sleep. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good with a reasonable number of options on the menu - the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly but again little if any character to the place. Best part of the package was the buffet breakfast which provided a vast array of hot and cold dishes as well as the usual breads / fruit / juices / coffee etc.

The Realm appears to cater more for the business traveler and could use a splash of colour to break up the seemingly endless grey tones throughout the building plus some music etc to give the place some soul to attract couples looking for a romantic weekend with a touch of luxury.

Stayed last week for two nights in a Realm room.

Room was comfortable and had everything that was needed.

Yes it lacks paintings on the wall as others have mentioned, but I didn't mind this
as it fits the minimalist style of the room.

Spotlessly clean and nice amenities.

Room service breakfast adequate.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating to every request.

We found the location ideal for walking to Parliament House and to Kingston
where we had dinner both evenings.

Returning with an aim to recharge. Still impressed by the room but realise the business atmosphere did not suite our purpose this time round. Great package to enjoy an excellent accommodation but will need more incentives to return as it's hard to fire up a bit of romantic atmosphere in the room.

Enjoy the coffee machine and would appreciate a bit more choices of flavour.

Room Tip: No particular room better than the other in my opinion.

I stayed at the Realm on a business trip and was upgraded to a suite. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel could do with a touch of color, as everything is grey. I think those large, nice and very well equipped rooms would look so much better with a touch of warm colors and light. Breakfast is a bit average for the price. Conveniently located close to the airport and centre.
