It's always a refreshing swim at the Art Deco Manuka pool . Take a moment to view the recently restored and re dedicated Remembrance board.

From baby to ten, our family have enjoyed our afternoon visits. Parents have enjoyed the ease of the activities. Recommended for a hot day with a couple of hours.

We focus on the open area with the shaded kids pool, play equipment and open space. Slip slip slap essential. The water and grass is neat and clean; trees offer lots of shade within sight of the pool. The 50m pool is absolutely delightful and proven good for their practice and is a good distance from the kids area. Cafe now accepts Card payments and serves reasonable chips, ice-creams, drinks and not a bad coffee.

We have found the staff in all aspects friendly and attentive.

Front access for prams is to the left avoiding the only stairs. Parking has been easy and the number of people comfortably held.

I have visited this pool for many years and I love the vibe. An oasis of pristine art deco serenity run by lovely friendly folk. Gorgeous leafy trees to laze underneath in park like surrounds for summer afternoons with the family. A Canberra treasure.

Forget council 'splash parks', wet'n'wild, wave machines and the luxury of a roof, THIS is how they swam for exercise or simply cooled off years ago. This lovely heritage listed and protected 30m/6 lane/4'-9' deep, open air pool with it's wooden benches, old-fashioned changerooms (no family rooms) and beautiful lawns is just so relaxing. Water temp might be a bit invigorating in the mornings for some - and the pool edge is above the water so a bit more challenging to get out so be 'strategic' with your swim and exit via the steps. There's a newer kiddies pool outside the walls of the main pool and a food kiosk too. Relaxed.

Manuka pool frames my life in Canberra. Slip into the water and relax. Do backstroke and look at the trees, birds, hot air balloons and planes flying to Sydney and Melbourne.
A nice community place.
