“Yum!”
Reviewed November 22, 2012 via mobile

Had lunch here it was tasty, quick and really good value. $10 for a spring roll, a take away box of curry and a can of coke. Also the guy was really nice and helpful telling me what dishes weren't spicy!

“If you cant afford the airfare....you can still experience the food”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

Our little group is always trying to outdo each other in discovering hole in the wall eateries offering great food.... Let me let you in to our closest held secret ... Indo Cafe ... located opposite the front entrance to 222 London Circuit in the city and run by a thoroughly pleasant Indonesian Australian family this cafe has established itself as an extremely popular take away lunch cafe with queues lasting several hours a day just to sample their fare, but the magic for us is that the cafe has one (YES! ONE) inside table at which you can seat for the whole menu selection.
The knockout house specialty is of course the West Java dish of Beef Rendang, it is simply superb, there are excellent chicken, seafood and vegetarian selections on the small but adequate menu, but the rendang is a must.
The cafe is BYO and our bill normally amounts to around $20 each......excellent value

“Love the Food, Cheap and Delicious”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

I dine at the Indo Cafe (more or less a hole in the wall with outdoor seating and also limited indoor seating) every Monday lunch time and mostly sit down outside with colleagues. I am a long-term customer and have tried all the dishes on offer. Although all are good, my favourite is the beef rendang (yellow rice prefered but the plain rice is good too). I love this place and so do many other people judging by the long line of mostly takeaway diners that queue at lunch time. Ingredients are super fresh and good quality produce is used. Takeaway service is fast and it does not take long for takeaway diners to get their hands on the prize. Lunch box deal is popular and you get a main with rice or noodles (depending on the dish), an entree (mini spring roll or corn fritter) and a can of soft drink for 10 bucks... great value for a filling and delicious meal.

“Great value for a quick takeaway lunch”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

Indo Cafe is a hidden gem out the back of the Waldorf hotel building. It does takeaway lunch boxes - $8 for a lunch box and $10 if you want to add an entree and a softdrink.

The meals are already in takeaway containers ready to go and service is really quick as there is normally a decent queue of people lined up.

Food is tasty and the serving sizes are generous. Great for a quick and tasty lunch!

“Got it going on...”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

This guy has clearly been to Sydney, as he understands the time poor office worker's need for 'ready to eat' takeaway, at a reasonable price and with over a dozen choices of fired up asian takeaway. Situated in the latest part of the CBD to get the 'Flat Earth Society Upgrade' (ie new, level sidewalk), the Indo is situated in a visually appealing pedestrian cul-de-sac and is fast becoming a monument to itself and a testament to great lunchtime asian.
