Terrific Pork, but be warned its huge. The duck is great too (another large serve).

I had the pork and couldn't eat it all. The locals seem use to it and they were taking 'doggy bags' home. As we were out of towners we didn't have that option.

Friendly staff and good service. Alcohol is ordered separately, with (naturally) a nice choice of German beer along with wine.

Within easy walking distance (50 metres) of the Best Western Plus Garden City Hotel.

We were staying nearby and I chose this restaurant based on reviews here. My husband is a fussy eater and said his chicken kiev was the best he'd ever tasted. I had the duck, which was delicious. Children shared a kids schnitzel meal with plenty left over. Great, attentive and warm service from the staff. One small thing, the club has a policy of "no high chairs" apparently due to a previous incident - so if you have toddlers or babies, you'll need to either sit them on your lap or carry the pram upstairs. Not ideal. Still worth a visit though !

Great setting for a quiet dinner - fantastic and helpful staff, home grown German cuisine and fantastic atmosphere in this little club. Almost a home away from home. Very deceptive, nothing flashy on the outside, but fabulous once inside the door. Very busy and we were very lucky to get a table, so make sure you book early. Make sure you try the German beer on tap (yummy!!), and the great little meat raffle run on Friday nights. Then they have a band playing in the corner. First class night out, Fantastic night out - a big thanks to all.

Don't be fooled by the outside, there is a gem at the top of the stairs in the German club! Make sure you book - it was busy and we were luck to get a table. I'm a snitzel fan and this was the best I've ever had! Hubby had the sausages and they were tasty too. I saw the knuckle on another table and it look amazing, tht will be next time! You don't have to book for the knuckle anymore either. It is on the menu.

The staff were super friendly as well.
