Description: Bollywood Masala is an award winning Indian restaurant operating in Dickson for over 9 years and newly opened in Kingston. Its commitment to cooking food in the traditional indian style, using key ingredients cooked in-house, set it apart from other Indian restaurants. While all dishes are prepared with equal love and attention, signature dishes like the Leg of Lamb, Stuffed Squid, Dal Bollywood and fig and almond kulfi are worth a try. All food is cooked to order and naan breads served fresh from the tandoor. Plenty of vegetarian, gluten free options. Takeaway meals and competitively priced catering services are available.

We visited there once while staying in Dickson and service was organised and quick. We only has take-away food and it was good and clean.

We really love this place. The food is incredibly delicious - whether its takeaways or eating in the restaurant. I love the Bollywood dhall, the stuffed spatchcock, malai kofta and spinach & cheese. The service is great and the decor at Dickson is nice - haven't been to the Kingston one.

Hi there - thanks for your continued support and your positive feedback. Do try our Kingston restaurant as well. We really appreciate the support over almost 10 years of operating our Dickson restaurant from regular customers - it keeps us going during tough times such as the current economic times in Canberra. We look forward to similar support for our Kingston restaurant. Regards Arjan

I'd better confess: this is not about a single visit, because we've eaten Bollywood meals, either in the restaurant or at home, probably 100 times over the last 8 or 10 years. Nor is it just my taste, because virtually the whole family feels the same. The reviewer Madshus has put it well: it's consistently delicious. We particularly love their Kerala-style barramundi and prawn curries, the lamb saag (less impressed, frankly, by the leg of lamb they describe as the house specialty), the chicken and vegetable kormas, the dhals, the naan, the potato and cauliflower curry - they're all favourites of ours. To me, this is the best Indian restaurant in Canberra (although Ruchi comes close); There is something rich and seductive about their way of preparing food that makes them stand out from the average good Indian restaurant. I've only eaten at the Kingston sibling once, but that was also excellent: indeed, it's just won the Restaurant and Catering Association's Savour award as the best Indian restaurant in Canberra, an award that Bollywood Dickson has dominated over recent years. There's nothing special about the decor or, the service, but the curries are just wonderful.

Thank you for taking the time to provide well-balanced and meaningful feedback. It is particularly valuable coming from a long-time guest. It is pleasing that our consistency is being valued and we will pass on the feedback to our team. We also note your feedback re the leg of lamb and other dishes. We hope to continue improving where needed and remain consistent where we are already performing well. Thank you again for providing your valued comments. Regards Arjan

I ate there last night and was delighted with the service and the meal. The manager (owner?) helped us choose the dishes and so we were so glad to taste dishes we normally would have bypassed e.g. the Dhal. Throughly recommend.

We visited this place after looking at all the positive reviews on tripadvisor. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice but they were playing the radio on the speakers when we came in at 6pm. They had just opened at that time and changed the music an hour later which was okay. We ordered the leg of lamb curry which is their signature dish, butter chicken, garlic naan and had the mixed platter entree. The flavours were amazing! It definitely is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. We will definitely be back!
