Go to the website and see what is on. It is a great place to take young people but adults will enjoy it as well.

This place is close to the Botanic gardens, the ANU and Black Mountain Tower. There were really friendly staff there when we went and they let us have hands on some of the exhibits - like having a preying mantis walk up your arm. It is not like a big museum, but very interesting if you are at all interested in nature. Allow a minimum of 20 minutes. It was free when we went, but I don't know if that is still the case.

Great place to stimulate the mind. Really enjoyable exhibit. Easy to access and navigate through the centre. Would recommend adding to any visit to Canberra.

As are bowties, fezes [?sp] and stetsons. And any place that plans to have a Doctor Who exhibition is definitely going to appeal to the geek within us all. The tour guide was great, knew his stuff and kept our school party of 11 year olds interested. If you like big insects you will be in your element.

Attended an event there and found the space very warm and interesting. There wasn't much in the way of exhibits but the building itself, plus the cafe, is worth a visit.
