It’s a steep uphill walk to the rocks that took approx 30mins. The view from the summit is stunning. One thing to keep in mind is that it can get windy and a bit cold once you reach the top and are no longer protected from the elements by the trees.

A medium intensity hike uphill is offset by the beautiful views you will be awarded when you reach the peak. It's difficult to believe this is only a 45-minute drive from Parliament House - feels like another state entirely.

Fun, quick and easy if you want to spend a couple of hours outside Canberra. I travelled there on a cloudy (mild rain forecast) day so it was perfect! (best weather to be in this spot). There is a 3 km long off-road drive and I would recommend a car that isn't a low-ride! (but any car will do just be careful to not bump into rocks). Dozens of wallabies bouncing around and lush greenery everywhere!

The trek is quite easy (moderate fitness needed). I went there by myself and was fortunate to find some company mid-way up the hike. On the way up there is a pleasant quite natural sound buzzing and when you reach the end of the road, the view is really great!

Ohhh and there is good camping spots (maybe can camp overnight). Also you can rock climb there too so for those interested in adding a little more ooomph to your adventure try that out. Don't miss out to register yourselves at the information centre first because if you get lost the place has no mobile range (obviously) and on a solo trip that's important!

A great walk, a fantastic experience.
Hubby and I are certainly not fit, and this climb was hard but manageable. There are no seats along the was as suggested below heaps of rocks to sit on for a break.. I think we had about 5! When you get to the top, the view is breath taking! So beautiful. Watch out for Kangaroos on your drive there!

I was with a friend who was about to give up on our way to the top but I kept pushing her until we reached the top and she felt bad for being a badass as the view was really wonderful!
