Classic Canberra natural landscape and great views. The top also has a great restaurant so make sure you make it all the way up.

Nice place to get out of the city, but in the city geographically. Lovely bushland, with the beautiful botanic gardens well worth a visit, plenty of trails and bush to explore. Also nearby O'Connor Ridge is nice for a stroll.

This is a place where you can just go and walk and contemplate and enjoy what nature has to offer. Lots of places where you can enter. Make sure you enjoy the experience.

Like so many places out here one goes along expecting something interesting but it really is empty of any real interest at all. Rather bare, usual kangaroo here and there. I lived in Canberra for 33 years and have been up Black Mountain many times.

It's worth a visit if you have visitors and the Botanic Gardens next door are probably better viewing. Forget the restaurant on Black Mountain Tower, its overpriced, and the revolving part is jerky and the tower sways so some guests felt seasick. Food there is reaallllyyyy awful too. The coffee shop has a few souvenirs and rather tired service.

Altogether no more than an hour here but views are great on a sunny day especially if the Captain Cook fountain near Regatta Point on Lake Burley Griffin is on..
