“Iconic Canberra Landmark.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

Amazing that this has been preserved Gorgeous old building with large windows and views to the lake. The subject of a communtiy protest when it was proposed to be in an ugly lakeside development. It is often open but a walk around is lovely, then visit nearby Lennox Gardens.

“Historic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

This beautiful building has been doomed by local government a couple of times, however the community has rallied and saved such a lovely architectural and historic building. Easily accessed by bus and can be first stopoff before venturing to other lakeside sights and activities

Sentimental journey; met the girl of my dreams there about 40 years ago. Brought back a lot of memories. Wonder what ever happened to her?

“A faded jewel ?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

Albert Hall is looking sad and tired. Pictures from the 1920s and 1930s show it in a very different light, when it was the social centre of Canberra. It's now mostly used for fairly tacky sales of Persian carpets and surplus ski gear at the end of the skiing season. However there are plans afoot to completely renovate this historic building. This will be welcome.

“Very old part of Canberra”

This is another historic building in Canberra and is right beside the Hyatt so have a look at both of them at the same time. Lovely architecture.
