“Good food, staff can be a bit grumpy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Really enjoyed the breakfast and coffee at Ona but the staff can be a bit brusque, especially when things get busy, which they really do at peak times. Relatively creative combinations on the menu do hit the spot, though, and Ona has been worth several visits. Definitely one of my preferred breakfast/brunch places in the area.

“Great Coffee and Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

Do a mean bacon and egg roll on turkish bread!

Great coffee and great service. I come here regularly and really enjoy doing so!

Nice and quick if you're in a hurry on a week day too.

“great breakfast and coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Breakfast on a Sunday morning - small place is packed so we had to wait for a table. Had big breakfast, which was big - bacon, mushrooms, beans and chickpeas, eggs. Yummy. The coffee was outstanding! Service was good, attentive and with a smile. Will drop in when next in Canberra.

“Great coffee, average B&E Roll”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

Read great reviews so decided to visit while in Fyshwick. Very busy on a Saturday morning, but pumped out the coffee and food in timely manner. Coffee is brilliant (went back for a second), but bacon and egg roll was large but average. Other breakfasts being eaten by others looked nice though.

“Coffee specialists and more”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

Pleasant location on the The Lawns at Manuka. Coffee is their specialty and they do it very well, which is so important when, like me, it is taken black with no sugar. The breakfast menu offers some interesting selections different from the usual cafe breakfast fare and I really enjoyed my mushroom-based choice. Ona Coffee must be doing things right as it was heavily patronised whilst I was there, whereas the several cafés nearby were seemingly less popular. I have also been to the Ona Coffee outlet in Canberra's Fyshwick, which really is excellent. If you want, they will give you an experience tasting different coffees prepared by different methods. It's amazing what those guys know about coffee.
