Wanted somewhere close to stay near family. Family found this little gem for us. Being our family member is in the ADF we received a small discount. Very clean rooms daily make up of the room is well done. Didn't eat the restaurant so can't comment on it. Rooms are modern and well appointed. BUT most of all its sooo.... quiet you can't hear the traffic. Would happily stay again.

For an overnight stay to attend a party, this hotel was very conveniently located and well priced. Reception was very helpful in providing AA batteries. It was very quiet. We were able to avoid the marathon traffic and street closures on our way back to Sydney. It is well located for the War Memorial and north Canberra activities.

Best western Tall trees Canberra is a convenient place to stay while in Canberra. Close to main road, shops and restaurants. The room and bathroom are a little small but very clean, modern and comfortable. the manager went out of her way to assist us when someone messed up the only washing machine I the laundry. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here one night & were upgraded to an executive room (I think because I had booked for 3 adults but there were only 2 of us). The room was very good - spacious, good amenities. The hotel is situated just off Northbourne Ave (the main road into Canberra) in an attractive, leafy, quiet suburb & only 5 - 10 mins drive from the CBD. Can definitely recommend.

$239 (got a $10 discount to $229) for a small queen sized room for the night (all that was available). It was clean and comfortable but charm free. The bathroom was well fitted out but was very narrow - I don't think you could HOLD a cat in there - let alone swing one. The ad promised full breakfast but on check in they said it was continental only - but we could pay extra for a full breakfast (which we opted to do). It was academic anyway as when we arrived in the morning, there was an apology as the chef was sick, and only continental breakfasts available.... very poor quality continental at that! Internet (up to 3.5 GIG) available, but it obviously cuts out at midnight, so we had to call and wait for another log in/ password in the morning. Staff nice, and the birdsong in the morning was so lovely, it almost made up for paying way too much for too little.

We refer to your review. We assure you that the rate that you paid was competitive relative to our competitors. As you state in your review, the standard room that you booked was all that was available. We obviously also have generously sized executive and deluxe rooms in the main building, which offer larger bathrooms. We apologise for your unfortunate breakfast experience, but the illness of the chef was beyond our control. We believe that we offer an excellent product at very competitive prices. We will shortly be commencing a further upgrade of the property so as to ensure that our standard is maintained. We would hope that you will consider staying with us again. We would urge you to call our General Manager, Pat Young, ahead of time and she will make every effort to make your stay memorable. Warm regards - Guest Relations Team

Nice quite motel with good basic facilities. Just watch where you park overnight as the birds feed and rest in the trees - hence the name. This way you can avoid the messy guano on your shiny duco.
Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Will be back.

We spent three nights in Canberra, and found this hotel ideal for our needs.
We had been camping in many areas, so consequently had a lot of gear in our vehicle, and wanted a room where we we could park right outside our door.
It is situated in a suburb in a very quiet area with no passing traffic. A few minutes drive north of the central city, but has a shopping centre close by. We found it easy to drive to all the major attractions.
