One of Canberra's treasures is the National Film & Sound Archives. This place is certainly well worth a visit.

“Cold pies and service”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

It appeared nice till I had my hot beef pie which turned out to be 1/2 cooked I told the waitress who appeared indifferent and appeared to not care less. Not impressed. It is a shame as it could have potential

“Compact attraction with so much potential”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

A real step back in time, you could get lost for hours watching old footage or fly through in 10 minutes. There is a lot more they could show and expand this is to a huge archive of Aussie talent but I guess it all comes down to funding. There is so much stuff we waste money on as a country pity this archive is not given a huge gallery of space. The girl on the front desk was so nice and friendly and sold us on a late lunch on the "sun dappled" verandah. This was rather enticing until we met the rude girl in the coffee shop and decided to walk out, ruined the experience.
