“Compact attraction with so much potential”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

A real step back in time, you could get lost for hours watching old footage or fly through in 10 minutes. There is a lot more they could show and expand this is to a huge archive of Aussie talent but I guess it all comes down to funding. There is so much stuff we waste money on as a country pity this archive is not given a huge gallery of space. The girl on the front desk was so nice and friendly and sold us on a late lunch on the "sun dappled" verandah. This was rather enticing until we met the rude girl in the coffee shop and decided to walk out, ruined the experience.

“Not the best”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

There are lots of national institutions in Canberra covering lots of different areas of society.

The NFSA is very small and takes about 1/2 hour to explore comprehensively. The volunteers were friendly and the displays were interesting, but it needs to be much much bigger to sustain interest.

“Bring you back to the black and white”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

Try it out if you are a fan of old movies. The old fashion cinema, the price, and selection of movies will definitely bring you back to the 60s. Check their website for movies on show which may be made before you're born!
