Always exciting exhibitions with some wonderful gift options. I love taking visitors and frequently visit just for the visual splendour

A great duo : the Sunday Old Bus Depot market then next door is this fantastic exploration of decorative glass making. It was a privilege to watch the artisans creating glass and engraving it. I can’t wait to book in to make my own paperweight or bird. A lady was there when we were in the auditorium : booked in for the experience of making her own bird. The young man instructing her was confident and fun: getting her to practice the moves before helping her to twist the glass to create beak and tail - great safe instruction. This is a free exhibition but please book in to make your own piece of art !!! It was so hot to be in there during Canberra summer day - please bring drink if you are in the auditorium observing!!!! It’s all part of it...

Worth a visit and especially if you're going to wander around the Bus Depot market. Take some time out to watch people learning glassblowing.

I recently booked in for the hot glass experience and got to create my own vase. The glass maker was great. His instruction clear and considerate. The outcome surpassed my expectations and the friend who received my creation over-the-moon. Finally, I arrived a few minutes late for my session and staff responded promptly and expertly allowing me to maximise my experience.

Quiet drizzling day, stopped there to see what all the fighting was about in regards to planning permissions. Instead, I had a look at a none too interesting victim of the local heritage gang. It's of no particular attraction for any age group and seems to remain open out of spite.
