Visited in school holidays with my ten year old. It was very busy with mainly smaller kids and it was hard to get near any of the displays. Generally looked more suitable for kids of a younger age. We just walked in and basically straight out. Kids 10 or over would enjoy other venues in Canberra more which are free compared to this venue that was $40 for adult and child.

Kids of all ages will love this place. All hands on exhibits, shows and participation in exhibits based on science. Passionate young scientists in each gallery to assist and explain exhibits.

Visited here today with four kids aged 4, 6, 9, and 10, plus 5 adults aged from 35 - 65.

WOW!!

What a fantastic experience and reasonably priced.

Easy convenient parking.

The first faces we encountered at reception, along with every one else we spoke to, or asked questions of, were the most helpful and friendly people.
You should all be proud.

We were all very entertained and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Everything was clean neat and tidy.

We ate at MEGA BITES and our meals were lovely.
(I will review on their page)

Wonderful place to see how ‘things’ work and why.

Well done!

Admittedly we seemed to arrive at the start of holiday season, so there were a heap of young families around. Started off with the engineering show which was promised to be awesome and interesting. I’d say it was aimed at children 10 years and below and really didn’t excite us as expected. Anyway, onto the multiple floors of activities. If you are able to work with your young ones, or even just by yourself and explain how each of the interactive displays worked, then it is very informative and interesting. Unfortunately the whole place seemed full of kids wanting to simply play and try to wreck as much stuff as possible with no interest in science at all. Plus the parents seemed content to let their little johnny push and shove their way in front of others just to wildly turn knobs and hit buttons. There were barely any staff on the floors to keep and eye on the displays or to help explain or demonstrate the science behind them. Would only need two staff per room during busy periods to help the crowds understand the ideas. We left very underwhelmed and me being a science teacher was disappointed by the overly simple activities that did not include any wow factor.
