We enjoyed our visit which was sadly too brief. Would love to spend more time there. Highly recommended

“Australian History”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Quite a good story of the history of Australia told in an innovative way. The whole was let down though by the confusing layout. Wandered around trying to get back to main entrance for cafe and gift shop.

“Great museum, good for families”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

It has a good focus on education and making things accessible, but like many museums for me, is overly obsessed with this and lacks the rambling nostalgia of some older/less refurbished museums, where things are crammed into cases, and there's just too much to see in one visit. Thats my personal preference influencing, but the upside to the modern interface is that you don't walk out feeling fatigued or overwhelmed. :-)

“Good museum”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

The museum was a good place to take some friends visiting Canberra for the first time. We spent an afternoon there and had lunch as well. It was quite good. Would recommend it to visitors.
