We went for an open day when they brought out a lot of exhibits from storage and displayed them in the grounds. Lots of people, and parking got tight early but well worth the visit. With all the crowds basics such as toilets were in demand esp the ladies and there were long queues. They really need to bring in some special event toilets next time!

A wonderful solemn visit to the Australian War Memorial on Anzac day to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. The War Memorial is a must and the number of tourists there was fantastic!

Rich in history. Everyone should visit this place. Loved the peaceful walk around the museum. Loved the well-preserved war artifacts, planes, etc. The regular tours were free, too.

Been here now half a dozen times and find each visit feels like he first. Australia got it RIGHT when they built the AWM.

This is a world class museum not to be missed. You need to allow a minimum of one day to fully appreciate the vast collection of military artefacts from items as big a Lancaster bomber to mud stained world war 1 uniforms.

It does not celebrate war, rather the Australian spirit and sacrifice of our serving men and women.

Canberra has a lot of great attractions, but if you could visit only one then this would be it.

Just outstanding.
