One of the saddest place but also the most fascinating .
I think visitors from other countries should be a little more respectful and aware of the significance of the war memorial of those who fought and died for their country AUSTRALIA

It was more like a market day at the front entrance ppl screaming and yelling at and to each other in the entrance way near the pool of reflection.

Must go, must see, must experience, must educated for all. A fantastic exhibition and memorial of our important history! At LEASTV1 full day or better to spread it out over a few days for a few hours each day.

This is a world class monument to our fallen service people and surely depicts the huge scale of human sacrifice made in the defence of freedom and democracy.

As we are not museum type people we intended not to stay longer than 1 or 2 hours but before we knew it we walked around for more than 4 hours.

Visited in November when the dead arehonored. Busloads of day trips included school outings and adult groups are well catered for here. As with all things, Canberrian there is plenty of space for everyone. A great book store with several signed copies of contemporary War literature . The restaurant is situated in a separate building and offers a good menu. Services excellent. A short visit to the Capital City must include this attraction and a walk along the Avenue dedicated to Aussie soldiers and the Wars in which they have participated. Unlike many such memorials in other cities around the world, Canberra reminds us of diverse twentieth century conflicts in living memory
