Parking was good on a weekend, I was surprised. The venue is great and I went to see Cartier- so amazing! The free exhibits are great too. Always worth a wander.

Amenities are clean and well spaced. A nice cafe outside in the sun is worth a visit.

Beautifully organised as usual. A bit busy early on. Fabulous examples from all, over the world. Learnt about the themes that influenced their designs. Wonderful workshops of jewellery makers. Nellie Melba does not fare well! Highly recommended.

I went to the Cartier exhibit - AMAZING. I would love to take my kids back - there is a fun kids section at this entrance. Rooms and rooms of amazing work to look at too.

Just came back from Canberra where we visited the Cartier Exhibition at the National Gallery - wow what a great display!
There are several hundred pieces of Cartier jewellery ( including 300 from Cartier itself) from many sources throughout the world. The collection includes royal tiaras, necklaces, brooches, an unbelievable collection of clocks and all the 'bling' of the rich and famous. There is even a couple of Crocodile necklace!
Layout and presentation of the jewellery is fantastic with many of the exhibits in 'double sided' display cases so you can see back and front of the items.
There are Audio cassette tours, but we managed to get on a guided tour ( maximum 12 people) that are free and are conducted 3 times a day - absolutely worth it.
We spent 3 hours in the Gallery and thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Would recommend this to everyone.
There are other exhibitions on display in the Gallery and also there is a good café where you can have morning or afternoon tea as well as a very good lunch

The National Gallery is in an awesome spot! I don't particularly like modern art so at the Gallery I search out the amazing classic art.
I usually go to each big exhibition and have just seen the Cartier exhibition which was so beautiful!
The cafe is very good with lovely people and very nice food. The view from the cafe is so relaxing!
The shop in the gallery has some amazing things!!
