“Canberra's own lake”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Walk around the lake and you will see superb scenery, walk past galleries, the High Court, Questacon, the list goes on! Good access to cafes on your way round. Paths wide - pedestrians and cyclists usually well behaved. A good way to spend a leisurely day and get fit!

“try some dragon boating!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We joined a local dragon boating club for one day - it is free, but you have to sign a release. Be prepared for some rigorous paddling, and you will get wet, but it is a unique experience.

“Prettiest spot in Canberra!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

The vistas from one side of the lake to the other are just breath taking!
Take a camera - you can either walk all around it - or drive from here to there.
There's so many things to do around the lake - paddle boats, hire bikes, cafes, segues, museums. It really is a special place :)

“Good walk around a lake”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is really well located in the centre of Canberra and worth a walk around, there are loads of things to see including a small version of the Angel of the North. Make sure you take your time and if you forget to take some water there are pleanty of drinking fountains dotted aroung the park.

“One of the great pleasures of Canberra”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

If you take the walk around the lake between the two bridges, you'll see many of Canberra's 'sights' close up, feel the breeze, smell the clean air, notice how green everywhere is, and see boats on the lake. If you feel like an easy ride, there are bicycles to hire, or even better, Segway tours from the south side of the lake - very enjoyable.
