We checked into the hotel room 501 early (11am) for 2 night stay. We were allocated a room right next door to the house keeping room / services lift.

I requested a room move as the wall were literally shaking every time they used it. I was informed by the duty manager he was able to move me if he could find another room, but then proceeded to tell me that because I checked in early that housekeeping was still doing their rounds?

That made no sense as we were staying 2 nights. Are you saying the next day at the same time it will be quiet as I would already be checked in?

No apology. Nothing. Made me feel it was an inconvenience for complaining.

I have stayed in hotels all around the world with different star ratings and have never heard the walls shake like that due to the services. Restaurant not open for lunch. Just a bar menu.

hallway and rooms' carpert were not clean at all.
swimming poor temperate said to control at 28c but sure it was way lower than 28c.
one of the room TV remote control no working at all. as we only stay for 1 night so just didn't bother to tell the reception to change.
room didn't clean properly as we still can find other people's dirty sock left under the bed.

overall impression very dissappointed. Mecure is much better than Novotel, and much value for money than Novotel. which is very surprising.
