The facilities need an upgrade and the deodoriser smell overwhelmed us in the apartment. The tv didn't work properly and we were charged for a movie we couldn't watch all of the way through because of the quality.

Great location, staff were very helpful with suggestions and directions. We had a twin room which gave all of us plenty of space and the kitchen was perfect for meals. Handy having the washer/dryer in our room and the bbq by the heated pool.

The James Court is undoubtedly one of the best value stays you will have in Canberra. Although ageing, it has the full list of amenities including a heated pool and gym if your keen enough. Walking distance to Bunda St dinning and next door to several take away outlets inc Mcd's and Crust Pizza. You cannot go wrong. RECOMMENDED.

I was in Canberra to work, and that's what I did. I found the accommodation supplied everything I needed, including a willing heater for the cold nights. I also appreciated having a TV in the bedroom and the en suite.

I stayed at the Adina Canberra for 5 nights while attending a training course and had a pretty good stay. Check in was quick and efficient and the staff friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Location is a couple of blocks from the city centre, and close to many places to eat and shops etc. My room was a one bedroom apartment. The kitchen was a good size with most things needed to self cater including microwave, four burner stove, big fridge and freezer, pots, pans plates, cups and glasses (I cooked most nights).
The lounge was spacious with a separate dining area. Couches could have been more comfortable with more cushions or something. Bedroom was good with lots of hanging space. But the bed was average that sagged in the middle, and the pillows flat. It was great to have a heater in the bedroom and lounge as it was freezing weather during my stay. The room was mostly quiet but there was some noise from the road.
The bathroom had a corner spa bath with the shower over which wasn't great to climb in and out of - if you have any mobility problems, I would imagine it being very difficult. But there was plenty of hot water and pressure. Basic toiletries were supplied and the towels fluffy and white.
However, the problem was the smell in the hallways - as soon as you got out of the lift, there was a strong smell of garbage - there was a garbage shoot and I guess that was the source of the stench. But it was very strong. Thankfully it didn't permeate into the room itself.
All in all, it was a good place to stay, but could the garbage smell needs to be addressed.

Great location, friendly staff and good service, room just needed a little bit of TLC to make great experience. Very close to central Canberra and pool, spa etc looked great but not during the sub zero temps we had!
