The library is right next to Questacon. There's nothing exciting about this library. There is also cafe inside and toilets.

We only had a short time to visit but enjoyed one of the library exhibitions and sat in the reading room to warm up, reading the great range of magazines and journals.

An old marble based facade with tall columns, the inside is totally revamped into a modern library. Good individual seats inside with view of the outside lake. There is also an area for seasonal exhibits. And must check out the bookstore and cafe with their stain glass windows. Lovely. And tapestries above the main doors of the library foyer. A surprise find in Canberra for me, as a first timer, but thanks to regular museum goers who told me to check the library out. Was very pleased.

Another Canberra icon building overlooking Lake Burley Griffin. There is a lot to see here, and exhibitions usually for free. There are permanent displays which are very interesting also. It is a quiet place inside and worth the look through. The cafe attached makes a good coffee and nice sweet things for an afternoon tea stop. The gift shop also has some quality items for sale. Another beautiful Canberra building worthy of a stop and look.
