As a proud daughter of a Vietnam Veteran it so important to have a special monument to reflect the sacrifice that my father (as his other V-V brothers & sisters) made to our Australian history. Growing up the Vietnam "Conflict" was not discussed openly in school like the other Anzac stories. Luckily my parents had educated me to understand the Anzac spirit that was displayed in Vietnam and when ever I am in Canberra I make a point of visiting this monument. It is heart warming to see a monument for the Vietnam War in Anzac Pde with the other war monuments. As it is no less or no more important than any other time when Australian men & women had put themselves on the line to represent our country, people and beliefs. Having this monument shows it can no longer be the forgotten war.

Not a lot to see but it is very well presented and displayed.
It brings tears to your eyes reading the words and reflecting what a waste of life through these wars. When will the politicians wake up and people stop interfering with peoples lives and values.
I found it very touching and sad.

This is a beautiful memorial representing all those service personnel who spent time in hell. It is a memorial that was opened to long after the Vietnam War ended in 1972

I walked up and down ANZAC Parade taking in all of the memorials and this was a highlight. I think this must be taken in conjunction with all of the others along the parade to get a feel for the sheer pride felt by Australia for all of its veterans, and especially now for the boys who fought in this, at the time highly controversial, conflict and who were unfairly vilified by other Australians.

Please, please.... walk along ANZAC Parade and spend some time reflecting on lost promise...

Awesome memorial, I recommend anyone interested in war history to visit this. You feel connected in some way visiting here. This is one of a walk down Anzac Pde, various wars are remembered in a respectful way, such as Korean War, and also a special area dedicated to nurses and all the conflicts they were involved in. I suggest you walk down from the War Memorial down one side of Anzac Pde and back up the other side in order to understand more history and also see others coming soon such as the Boer War momoial.
