“Just wonderful”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We spent an afternoon at Old Parliament House and we could easily go back for more. The tour we participated in was terrific - informative and very funny, the guide shared many personal experiences which added so much to the telling. A great afternoon, and fabulous local, produce available for purchase in the cafe.

“Australia's Old Parliament Building”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Part museum, part national heritage site. The Old Parliament building offers insights into Australia's early political structure.

“A must see.”
Reviewed April 23, 2013 via mobile

A visit here is really worth while, such a lovely old building. There is a $2 entry fee, $1 concession. Tours are conducted regularly but we wandered around by ourselves as it wasn't our first time. There are models showing how the building developed and there are guides to answer any questions and point you in the right direction. You can go into most of the rooms, check out the toilet that was altered for the ladies when women became recognised as a lasting thing in Parliament. See the room Queen Elizabeth ll used during her visit. Look out over the Aboriginal Tent Embassy, yes it's still there. Beautiful gardens. Lots of interactive things for the kids to do. Parking right at the door if your lucky like we were, or else a bit of a walk. Enjoyed it very much.

“An inside view of the Old Parliament”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Some tours are rather interesting, like the one that brings you into the bombproof chamber where a guide brings you through a multimedia experience of closed boardroom decision-making that may have shaped Australian and world history. They have also preserved the PM's office just prior to the move to the new Parliament.

“Info Plus”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

If you want to gain a real insight to how politics works then come here. Not just a Museum. VERY knowledgeable volunteers give you a real feeling on how hard it would be to be a poly. Any request for further info was answered. A must do
