stayed here in an eaglehawk villa yesterday and for 3 very cold nights (-2 degrees C) ! it was more expensive than the standard cottage, where other members of our family stayed ,but was definately worth it! Villa was clean, new & had everything we needed in it , air conditioner worked extremely well, so well we had to keep turning it off! Must say were concerned re cleanliness, but was absolutley spotless, soap, dishwashing liquid, towels and all linen provided. only 1 valance on the bed but there were blankets available , prob could have had more on bed , but didnt ask & im sure they would have been provided if asked. No problem with booking , receipt was issued months ago and man @ desk very informative & helpful . Very close to Canberra . Patrner & Daughter did get woken up by the bus & people unloading @ around 11pm but i didnt hear it .
Visited relatives in cottages & was a different standard there. Air conditioner not working well at all, was cold in their unit & it needed cleaning as was full of grime apparently ,also, not enough blankets & they were cold, unit was daggy, but ok, but they needed to wash their dishes & the stove top before use as there was food on the plates & stovetop. Other relatives crammed in to an even smaller unit but not many complaints apart from the cold. Pub next door was rubbish. service was terrible, food was average and the wait was long, some had hot stone grill meals which were good but expensive. Plenty of other places around to eat so i wouldnt bother! Didnt even get to look around the park as were too busy in Canberra & @ Lake George. Maybe owners have changed which is why improved conditions?
Would go again.

Room Tip: choose a Villa , & maybe towards the back of the park & make sure it is non smoking !

We stayed over the Easter break, in a cottage (our friends were in the tent opposite). Cottage not spotless but clean enough, hot shower, heater, digital tv, oven, microwave etc. milk left in fridge which was nice touch. holiday park itself leafy; 10 mins to canberra. galahs and cockatoos everywhere, field with horses next door, playground for kids, we had a good time here and were surprised by how negative the reviews were. Highway noise did not disturb us and our kids enjoyed spotting the planes which were only really frequent at commuter times, its near a capital city isnt it?!

We stayed in a cabin for one night in the off season with NRMA discount for $83. Not bad compared with some parks we have stayed in. The unit was clean and tidy. The old torn lounge seat was a bit ugly but otherwise everything was fine and bed OK. There is no wifi because Telstra will only bring in broadband to new areas. The Internet kiosk at reception is dial up for $6/hr and slow. Go to Maccas in Dixon for free wifi. Overall a better deal than Canberra and the pub food next door is not bad at all.

We are planning a trip and intended to stay at Eaglehawk Caravan Park in June and so far there customer service is pathetic. After sending them 2 emails and not getting a reply we rang them for our booking. They knew my name because of the emails they had recieved but why didnt they reply to us??? Took our booking and told us they would send comfirmation (no credit card information was asked for) ......still waiting.........sent them another email to ask where our booking comfirmation was. I refuse to waste money in ringing them again so looks like we will look for other accomadation.

I have been booking School Excursion for the past 13 years and have found Eaglehawk Holiday Park one of the best accommodation venues for School Excursions. The are staff are very helpful, the rooms are standard/basic but clean, the students are well fed and most of all the students are safe. I have no hesitation in booking School Groups into this venue.

Considering the price we paid for a Villa (which is supposed to be 5 star) everything is so cheap and nasty. The Villa was surrounded simply by rocks dumped everywhere (some lawn or concrete would have been nice). The furniture was old, dirty and there was one 2 seater lounge in a villa meant to sleep up to 6 people (there was 5 of us). No dvd, tv remote not working, food stains of the walls, no plugs for the sink to wash the dishes, VERY DANDEROUS READING LIGHTS above the beds (including the kids beds). They very not screwed in properly, were very low, close to your head and became excessively hot when used. We found this out after our kids went to bed, turned them on and both burnt their fingers on them. The swimming pool was about the size of a backyard pool, the area around it was not landscaped at all, just long un-mown grass and a few bits of old broken concrete. YOU REALLY CAN DO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS PLACE...I AM AMAZED THAT THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!!

Room Tip: Just don't pick a room or a site in this holiday park...you have been warned

Im currently staying at the holiday park and am suprised at the horrible service i have so far encountered i we only checked in this morning and already i want to leave. i rang about a month ago and made the booking spoke to a bloke named ben he refused to email anything to me his responce was "we dont do that" i then asked how i would get confirmation of my booking he said "in the mail" and hung up without even saying goodbye. i then recieved just a reciept in the mail and rang to ask about confirmation of the booking as all this said is that they took money off my credit card. when i spoke to another girl named Alicia she was more than happy to send me a confirmation via email and did so within a few minutes after realising that ben had booked me for 3 nights when i asked for 2 i rang back and he answered the phone i asked he amend the booking and send me a new confirmation he said "when i get around to it i have a room full of people and a bit to do right now" and again just hung up. when i arrived to the park we checked in and went to the villa the toilet still had the remains of previous people in it and only the double bed had been made up when i returned later in the day to enquire about wireless internet i went down to the reception and Ben was on the phone talking very quick (assumingly trying to get the person off the phone) i spoke to a girl who explained they only had the computer in the office for our use and walked off i then waited till she came back suprised to see me still standing there she asked if i needed anything i asked if she reccomended anywhere for dinner she suggested the pub when i explained we have a 2 year old the responce was "oh well there is a KFC in dixon sorry and again walked off THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE I HAVE MANAGED A HOLIDAY PARK AND WOULD SACK PEOPLE FOR THIS ATTITUDE AND I WILL BE SPEAKING TO SOMEONE BEFORE I LEAVE THIS IS A JOKE.
