“The nicest, most unique place we stayed on our entire trip”

Call ahead to let them know you are coming and the owner, Jorge, will pick you up at the nearby bus stop. The grounds are lovingly maintained and much attention is paid to detail. You can stay in the deluxe Suite, a slightly more modest, traditional type room, or in a tent with more comforts than you ever thought possible while camping. The outside bathroom is a work of art. We stayed in the suite which has its own private, gorgeous bath. We really felt pampered while staying on a budget. It felt like we were near a beach, though it is nestled in a Mayan village. Jorge did everything in his power to make sure we had the best stay. He speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and I think one other. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway near one of the 7 wonders of the world and a Senote within walking distance stay here.

A few friends and I headed down for a quick getaway in the Mayan Riviera, A fella at the travel agency Recommended this place to us based on some info he'd received from a Canadian couple a few months ago.

We had asked for a quiet, out of the way place, that was out in the open and far away from the city. This place is also located really close to the Mayan city of Chichen Itza and several caves and sinkholes.

We were able to go cave crawling and visit Chichen Itza as well as spent some time in the city of Merida, which is a very interesting and contrasting city, there is a little bit of everything there.

The cave crawling was a one of a kind experience, its like a different planet in there. I think its impossible for anyone not to be in awe of the awsome spectacle which are the caves, let alone not appreciate something as fascinating as the ancient city of Chichen Itza.

The hotel is close enough to both the city and the caves for us to go back several times.

The facilities at the hotel were exactly what we wanted, it was clean but not artificial, it made me feel like I was in a home away from home.

Jorge the owner was a very pleasant and easy going person, he hung out with us quiet a lot and was instrumental in showing us around, both the touristy stuff and the off the beaten path type stuff too, he knows the area very well, I dont think there is a request he cant fulfill or a problem he cant solve!

Overall we had a blast, it was a great recharge to be out in a place like this with my friends and friendly people to point us in the direction of interesting things and show us around in general.

We are telling everyone we know and would definitely return sometime in the future.

Yes, we wanted to get away from the big hotels and tour groups, a friend recommended this place and it was lovely! The owner, Jorge is a great guy, knows everything around, took us to all the places - even the ones that only the locals know about. We stayed at the suite, beautiful, clean, but there were also some campers there
from England, had an absolutely wonderful time !!!!! The camp site is very clean & neat, far cry from some other places we have stayed at. Enjoyed visiting the Mayan village and seeing their way of life, what can we say, we have to go back since we did not see everything in the 7-days .......
P.S. the owner is married to a Canadian girl (Erica), they speak Spanish, French, Spanish, Portuguese .... and even a bit of Japanese ....

Thanks for everything,
Renata & Gaetano
