Once a house of captains` family transformed into a hotel with a history. And history is everywhere, history in the making, a history of the building, a history of the new country.
There is no much great hotels in this new country yet, but the once that are good are good indeed and this one is one of them! There is something in the air that makes you feel dizzy and you want to stay more. The view, the smell of flowers by the sea, the food, the wine, what more one can expect! We came for a day as an experiment and stayed three and we are coming back. Happy New Year to you too!

Perched on the shore of the Bay of Kotor, Palazzo Radomiri is absolutely exceptional. Stunning views, first-class service, and top-notch accommodations. At first, we were weary about staying outside of Kotor, but it was incredibly easy to get into town. The walk along the bay to Kotor is easy, quick, and beautiful. For those less-inclined to walk, taxis are easy to come by and will get you to Kotor in under 5 minutes.

Our room was more like an apartment, with separate living room and bedroom and fully accommodated.

Just a note on the service at Palazzo Radomiri: it truly was outstanding. Hearing that my wife and I had a day of plane flights and transfers, they made us a boxed lunch to take with us when we left.

Avoid the crowds, the cruise ships, and the headaches of staying in downtown Kotor. Experience the Bay of Kotor as it was meant to be seen, in peace and quiet at Palazzo Radomiri Hotel.

Dear Adam U,
Thank you very much for your great and concise review. I am happy that you did not regret staying in Palazzo Radomiri and it is exactly a point with our location - close enough to walk into town, but far enough to enjoy the serene view of the sea and the bay. Thank you also on commenting so nicely on the service! Looking forward to seeing you in future!

Located a little way out of Kotor this place is remarkably calming. Situated just between the main road into town from the North (don't worry, it is quiet) and the coast road that runs along the side of the sea this is actually quite a discreet little place. We had a large room which was fairly opulent and came with a small balcony to look over the sea. Not my thing but the other half enjoyed it. Some excellent jogging routes along the sea front which give you a good chance to discover a whole load of cafés and bars for the evening. It is a little bit of a walk out of town so bear that in mind if that isn't your thing.

The team were all very helpful - booking restaurants, organising taxis and offering tips on other things you can do during the day. We only ate breakfast here (typical Adriatic fare done well) but I saw the menu down in the bar - looked quite impressive!

So, there are two main questions to answer. Did I get a good nights sleep? Yes. Would I go back if I was in the area? Yes.

Dear Simonhutch,
Thank you very much for your well written review. Our waterfront road is indeed perfect for jogging, biking or rollerblading and while at it, you might as well sightsee our little place Dobrota all the way to the old town of Kotor. So please do come again if in the area. It is a pity that you haven't tried our restaurant, because the majority of our guests are impressed not only with our offer, but with the quality as well.
Looking forward to welcoming you again in the future if you ever decide to come back to the area!

Staff try hard and are pleasant and generally very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast - you'll not be surprised to read if you've read other reviews - was pretty diabolical, particularly given that this is a 4 star hotel and comparatively expensive in Montenegro. The breakfast staff have the best of intentions but seem surprised every morning when people ask for glasses or bowls or cutlery. It's a very small hotel and a small buffet breakfast. All they need to do is make sure that food and crockery/glassware are kept replenished. I can only imagine noone has ever explained this to them. Juice is not juice it's diluted concentrate. Coffee is disgusting. However they made me an espresso when I asked for one.
Maya's yoga classes are great - and free.
Dobrota is a good location because there is a road alongside the bay which you can walk along. Elsewhere the roads are too busy and generally have no pavements. However, on a Sunday night 7.30 - 9pm we found the walk to be far from quiet. The local teenagers were racing along the road on mopeds and there seemed to be far more car traffic than we expected. However during the week, earlier in the evening, the road was far quieter.
In general it was fine to walk as far as the first restaurant Pirun I Ozica and there's a small shop nearby but if you're going to Kotor for dinner at night, a taxi is less stressful than avoiding traffic in the dark.
Despite very good reviews we found Ella's restaurant to be a pretty dire experience. The waiter was good when he was around but the other staff were pretty useless and rude. It's very nearly in Kotor so bear in mind if you decide to walk. Go to Pirun I Ozica instead - cheaper and better.

Dear Puddock4,
Thank you for finding the time to write a review and pinpointing your dislikes. It is important to hear about our shortcomings, so we can work on them and improve.
Firstly, allow me to apologise for any discomfort you have felt during your stay. Secondly, I am happy to announce that we have changed our breakfast concept so to satisfy more refined customers. On the subject, I have to note that we have never used diluted concentrate and most of our clients like our coffee, so I am deeply sorry it was not to your taste.
As for comparing Montenegrin hotels with hotels elsewhere, especially of similar rating, as for example in United Kingdom, I wouldn't really comment! As for comparing our hotel's pricing policy, considering our unique features and special extras we offer that you have enjoyed, I think it is rather a good value for money. As for the restaurants, if you would have eaten in our restaurant, there wouldn't be a need for you to walk at all.
Hoping to provide you a better service sometimes in the future.

A few hours before our arrival at the Palace (as I liked to refer to it as) we had a personal situation which required a change of our reservation from couple to family. Fortunately, we traveled late August into early September which is starting their low season. Ana and the staff did everything possible to accommodate our situation which actually worked out better for us. We changed from a room to a lovely flat with a balcony. I loved every moment of our 5 day stay with them. If you like privacy at a beautiful, low key, full service amazing hotel with even more amazing views, this would be the place. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was delicious! I recommend the chicken dish called the Montenegrin Dream. (had it more than once) Not once did we use the pool but did take a swim in the bay daily. The staff was warm and friendly and always there to help. Must say that Mickey was so entertaining and helped make a personal situation so much better, we enjoyed his company along with the rest of the staffs. Thanks for everything! I feel this place is best for couples and not family as the atmosphere is romantic.

We have been to Kotor before, so we knew the scenery would be stunning. What we wanted was a hotel which would enhance the experience. Sadly, our stay at the Palazzo disappointed on a number of counts. Loud blaring rock music, a member of staff who was exceptionally rude when asked to turn it off after 11pm, a chaotic breakfast buffet (not enough bowls, not being replenished, the sole member of staff chatting in the kitchen), no hot water on one morning, and silly rules about not consuming your own drinks in your own room.

We did speak to the owner about the music, and to be fair, it never happened again. It was apparently the member of staff's 'own taste' in music.

I appreciate that this is very much a dissenting opinion of this property; but at these kinds of prices, I would expect exceptional level of service. I could have paid a lot less, and stayed in one of the many appartments along the bay, and would still have got the same views, the same crystal clear water, and the same access to other restaurants.

I'd try Spoon and Fork 500m along the waterfront for simple, inexpensive but tasty food.

Room Tip: The Glorioso junior suite is the only one with a private balcony; and judging by comments, is larger...

Dear Cambus36,
Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that your experience in Palazzo Radomiri was stained. I have to say that the situation you have described is not really normal for our hotel. The persons in question were reprimanded for their behaviour as soon as you have told us and were fired very soon after this. Unfortunately these things happen in hotel business and we do regret that you were misfortunate enough to experience it.
If it is to any consolation, we have employed a fully new waiting staff for the new season, and we assure you that incidents of this kind will never happen again.
As far as the other places you mention are concerned, the sea remains the same everywhere, the view might be the same, but there is no other place like ours and I would love to prove it to you if you ever come again. Best regards from the remaining staff in Palazzo Radomiri!
