“Summer holiday”
Reviewed August 20, 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Cottage was very clean and well presented on arrival. Lovely friendly welcome from Pauline. Nice location not too far from the beach and shops. Garden was perfect for the children who enjoyed playing and also for adults wanting some peaceful outdoor time.

“Weavers Cottage”
Reviewed July 24, 2018 for a stay in July 2018

This cottage was advertised as having a shower room. There were no photos so we contacted the agent who came back with the info that the shower room had been modernised and more photos were to be uploaded. Unfortunately when we arrived we found the shower room did not include a WC. The WC was contained in a closet, accessed via the sitting area. This info should be clearly stated on the property description. As regards the stairs a full description should be included in relation to the narrow and steepness of stairs and that there only a rope hand rail.
Had this info been available at the time of booking it would have influenced our decision.

We are sorry that this reviewer was disappointed. It is the first negative comment we have received in the16 years we have been letting Weavers Cottage. The shower room has recently been modernised and has a quadrant shower cubicle and wash basin. The separate WC is certainly NOT in a closet and certainly NOT accessed straight off the lounge. From the front door of the cottage you enter a hallway and on the right, in a separate small room is the WC and hand basin - not dissimilar to the layout of many modern properties. Straight ahead there is a door into the lounge. Regarding the staircase the photo shows enough to indicate that it is a twisty cottage staircase, and typical of this type of property. There is a rope rail and also handles. There are 8 steps - fewer than normal staircases. This cottage is about 300 years old, it is very comfortable and we have hopefully kept the period charm which guests have loved and described as quintessentially English and it is truly unique.

“Our stay”
Reviewed August 22, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Cottage was excellent for our week visiting this part of the country
Well equiped and homely the moment you walked though the front door
The slightly strange layout took some time to adjust to. The owners have thought of everything you need. We enjoyed visiting Sandringham,Cromer,Sheringham and Wroxham
Was a bit dissapointed at the price of the steam train from Sheringham to Holt and then finding out that Holt station is not near the town and further transport is required to reach the town. The closest beach to the cottage is in Mundersley about 1.5 miles away with plenty of space on the beautiful beach. For dining out try the Sunset grill in North Walshham but this is only open Thursday,Friday and Saturday evenings and booking is advised
If you happen to get a clear night then you are in for a treat with the night sky my wife and son were out gazing past 2am enjoying the sight.

Thank you Pauline and John for the use of your cottage We thoughly enjoyed ourselves

Thank you for your review - it was great having you stay. The NNR trip is still very enjoyable and Holt is a lovely little town when you get there.

Thank you. It is good to know that our hard work and the cottage are appreciated. Many walkers and cyclists enjoy the peace and tranquility of this area but for those who wish to explore by car the nearest of our lovely sandy beaches, shops and pubs can be reached in a couple of minutes. There are also many other local attractions close at hand.

This delightful cottage is ideally situated for visiting the myriad sights Norfolk has to offer. Enjoy a glass of wine in the tranquil courtyard as the sun begins to set over the fields beyond.Don't forget to catch the nightly display of stars - truly amazing! A cosy retreat away from home with everything you need. Scones, tea, coffee, shortbread and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge - what better welcome! Well worth a visit.

Great cottage that is ideally situated for visiting some of North Norfolks beaches and tourist attractions. John was really helpful and after giving us some information regarding the domestics left us to our own devices. Lovely Garden and outdoor seating areas. Would recommend to anyone wishing to explore north norfolk.

This cottage is a real gem.
Wonderful surroundings, wonderful accommodation and wonderful facilities.

If you are looking for peace a quiet away from the “rat race” whilst remaining comfortable and at ease then look no further.
Situated within easy reach of all the delights that north Norfolk has to offer this cottage will suit couples or families alike.
We will definitely book to visit again soon.
