Description: The Bull Inn is a Victorian style Public House with original building work still intact. Its newly refurbished interior has used original periodic features to offer an authentic and enjoyable, warm dining experience. We continue to build upon our history in the local area as a pub for all, by our dedication by using local produce in all areas of our menu to provide an authentic Kentish experience. Our rooms are in the process of being refurbished, and look to take bookings in the spring of 2013.

After a 4 mile walk locally we (3) visited the Bull on Easter Monday. A lovely atmosphere - joined by a jolly jazz trio early afternoon. All staff really friendly and excellent DoomBar beer...
Lunch of chicken 'n ribs and loaded chilli tacos a bit disappointing - but maybe an off day 'cos it was Easter Monday. Would still recommend the pub though, thanks.

We arrived at the Bull after having been recommended by friends and found a warm and welcoming pub. The food was great and the staff most helpful, my wife and I lived in the area 35 years ago and are pleased to tell others that we enjoyed our visit back to Kent.

I went here with some friends for a few drinks on a Friday night and was greeted with a welcoming atmosphere. Good wine, friendly staff and locals and a lovely dog. The managers are a couple who have taken this over and done it up, and it looks great.

Well were do I start. I was highly recommended the Bull at brenchley for its hospitality and good food. We had a reservation for 4 people celebrating my birthday and what a disaster! we arrived and we were totally ignored by the staff, after standing at the bar area for some time, we pointed out to the bar tender we had a table reservation so we were told to go to table six. The table was placed beside the fire place which wast to cramped with unstable chairs , so we asked polity if we could be moved to another table. We waited again to be presented with the menus and offer of drinks and fed up with waiting eventually approached the bar myself to place my order for drinks. I ordered a bottle of wine and was not given any glasses so I needed to ask another member of staff for them at this point we were still waiting for the menu which we had asked for a couple of times. A grumpy ladie eventually came over and threw three paper menu's on our table with no apologies or acknowledgement for the poor service provided.

The last straw was when a party of 4 came through and was directed to their table and offered drinks and menu's and even shown the special board, which we had not experienced on our arrival. Our party decided to leave and eat elsewhere as the service was very poor and disappointing.

LUCKY FOR US THE POACHER IN TUDELEY HAD A TABLE FREE AND WHAT A 5 STAR SERVICE WE HAD.....

Please accept our apologies for your bad service at the Bull. We endeavour to make sure that every customer's experience is a pleasurable one and to hear that a party has had to wait so long and feel they haven't been given enough attention, is to us totally unacceptable. Although no excuse for the catalogue of grievances that you appear to have, the changing of tables on an evening where staffing levels had been more than stretched might have been a reason for your dismay - to which again we fully extend our regret. As you can see from other reviews since we took over the Bull on December 1 of last year, we try to provide a service that is comparable to one that we would expect if we were the end client. We ask if perhaps at some point you could try our establishment again, so as to fully negate this displeasurable experience.

My last review of The Bull was titled Dire. Not long after it closed. Now what a difference, lovely atmosphere and ambiance. Warm cosy decor but still feels like a village pub. Warm welcome and a very pleasant lunch. Home made soup with two different kinds of bread. We shared a roast beef baguette and it was definitely beef , tender and plentiful along with crisps and a side salad and a little dish of horse radish to add what you want. All in a lovely Granary baguette . Prices for the Southeast were reasonable too.The rooms above are being fully refurbished and I'm sure as a B and B they will be great too. This friendly family deserve to prosper . Give it a visit and save a crisp for the friendly black lab 'Marley'
