After a busy day of meetings, Hononton Cottage was a fantastic place to come and relax. The rooms had everything one could need and breakfast was perfect. Simon and Maggie made both of us extremely welcome and we'd heartily recommend Hononton Cottage to anyone.

We had another wonderful stay with Simon and Maggie in October of this year. The first visit was six years ago and I thought it was special then. We had the room with the private entrance as before and it was extremely comfortable, spotless and the bathroom amenities were amazing. I just loved the soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. The towels were luxurious and the sheets were really top drawer. Attention to detail was second to none and the breakfast was delicious - all the things we love. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, honey, juice, delicious toast and yummy homemade jam/marmalade which you can also purchase. We bought some back to Bermuda and it travelled very well. If you want a cooked breakfast that is available too.

I work in the hospitality business so know how much effort goes into taking care of people and Simon and Maggie do just that! They are helpful, charming and can't do enough for you.

Excellent value. We will be back again and hopefully can stay more than our normal two days as we visit friends whilst there. I would love to stay for four or five days - it is heaven.

Room Tip: We liked having the private access as we came in a little bit later after visiting friends.

I couldn't fault this excellent BnB - everything one could want, generous hosts and a great breakfast. Comfortable clean room and wifi access, Oh - only one thing I would change - more power to the shower - but that's just nit picking!

I stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful and relaxing break. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, Simon and Maggie who were welcoming and very helpful. The cottage is old and charming and very well equipped with everything I needed and more. There are walks through apple orchards and woods from the door, clear skies at night. Excellent breakfasts too.

I've stayed here twice and both times have been absolutely faultless. Great location, beautiful inside and very well thought-out.

I've stopped in places that cost 5x as much and have been nothing like as accommodating.

Simon and Maggie are really nice and friendly. If you're an extra special guest you might get a Christmas card...

Room Tip: I've only stayed in the ground room floor but imagine they're all great.

Simon and Maggie are friendly and gracious hosts who eagerly welcome you to their beautifully restored cottage located in a picturesque section of Kent.

We spent three nights in the Willowpit room, a beamed ceiling room with private entrance and windows overlooking their landscaped yard and nearby apple orchard. The room/suite contained a very comfortable king size bed, sofa and chairs to relax on, antique furniture, and a bathroom supplied with every beauty/personal product an individual would need. In addition to coffee, tea, and biscuits, there were special treats of chocolates, sparkling water, delicious local apple juice and white wine provided.

Breakfast is served in adjoining beamed ceiling room with a large fireplace draped with dried hop vines and copper chargers on a rail around the room. The buffet held several choices of juice, delicious fresh fruit salad, yogurt and cereals. Simon and Maggie offer several types of cooked breakfasts but we thoroughly enjoyed the light and tasty omelets served to us. The homemade jams and preserves are outstanding.

Simon and Maggie are very knowledgeable about the local restaurants to try, willing to secure reservations for your party, and can offer suggestions on what historical sites or gardens to visit in the surrounding area. If a problem or questions arise they are very willing to assist you in solving them. This was the most comfortable and relaxing B&B and one we hope to return to at some future time.

Room Tip: As Kent is a popular tourist area I would make reservations early for an outstanding B&B like Ho...

Jane and John,
It was a pleasure to have you staying in our home and we are so glad you enjoyed yourselves. We strive to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for our guests and are always ready to give help and advice - it is all part of the experience that Bed and Breakfasts offer which impersonal hotels are unable to achieve.
We hope to welcome you back in the future when hopefully you have an English speaking TomTom.

We returned to this fantastic B&B to use as a base for the 2012 Olympics. Ebbsfleet International is only 50 minutes away, then a 14 minute train ride to St. Pancras International in London.
Simon and Maggie, were again the perfect hosts, every detail was taken care of, from the remembering of the sauces at the (excellent) breakfast, to providing glasses for a drop of wine in the garden, where tea lights were ready. We had two very early starts for the Olympics and were provided with juice and fresh fruit with cereals to set us up for the day.

One of the most wonderful memories we have during this stay is having a romantic picnic for two in the wonderful gardens, overlooking a Kentish orchard. We were kept company by Flopsy, Mopsy & their sisters & brothers, the busy little bunnies shooting in & out of the nearby woods.
We are looking forward to seeing you both again soon. It is just like coming home to extended family & friends. Once again thanks from two tired but very happy Olympic visitors.

NOTE : Credit Cards now accepted !

Room Tip: We love the Willow Pit Room... but we would like to keep that a secret so don't tell anyone !
