“Best food and service on the island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

Menu selection and quality of foods is exceptional. Great service and ice cold local beer.
You will not go wrong at this restaurant, and it is worth the drive from anywhere on the island.
Perfect location for the best view while having a delicious meal.
Thanks for the BEST meal on Roatan and I will be coming back soon!

“Neighborhood Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2012

The guy at the Avis Counter at the cruise ship terminal turned us on to Cal's Cantina. Where else can you get a three lobster tail lunch for $20? I enjoyed the fish tacos and that's saying something because I'm from San Diego. You can't beat the view, located over halfway up the highest point on the island. What a vista! Cal makes his own cakes and the coconut cake was a great way to top off a fine lunch. This place is unassuming from the outside, but it's a gem.

“Delicious Food and Spectacular Views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2012

The menu has a variety of delicious food. We had 5 in our group and everyone’s meal was amazing. Very friendly and attentive staff. We ate at several of the “best” places on the island but the food at Cal’s far exceeded all of them.

“Best Food we tasted on the Island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

After staying on the island 9 days, all 4 members of our family voted this the best food for the trip. Carl who is the Owner and Chef takes genuine pride in cooking a quality scratch meal. The view overlooking first bight (close to Parrot Tree) complemented the meal just perfect. He is only open Tuesday through Friday so plan accordingly if you plan on trying it. My recommendation would be the churascos steak or the filet. Also the whole family fought over the key lime pie. Rebecca did a great job of taking care of us and we were on a first name basis before we left the island. Definitely worth the stop!

“Fantastic place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

We stopped @ Cal's on the way back to our place tonight and we had an incredible meal. We got garlic bread and cajun fish nuggets with apricot cocktail sauce for appetizers. Drinks were 2 for 1, Happy Hour! The location is amazing, overlooking the island with views of several bights. There was an incredible breeze. Our party of 4 had caesar salad, lobster tail, mahi mahi in a lime cream sauce and bass in a haitian hot sauce and coconut cake. The prices were ridiculously reasonable and the view and the food was the best on the island. They are only open Tues through Friday. We will be going back on Tuesday. Superbly prepared food in a to die for atmosphere. If you are on Roa, drive East until you come to Cal's, you will be glad you did!!.
