We stayed at Palatakia for 5 nights for Fengaros Music Village. The rooms are spacious, well designed, clean, well-equipped. The inner yard with the small swimming pool allow some privacy, along with some interaction with other guests.
The village is beautiful, quiet, with a couple of museums and restaurants. Perfect place for relaxing and at a good locations for excursions around the island,if you want to stay in a rural area.

We stayed here for 9 days (room no’s 7 and 8) and it was perfect. The drive to Palatakia is simply breathtaking and feels very much off the beaten track. Kato Drys itself is a small traditional village in the ‘mountains’ and there are lots of very beautiful villages close by. It’s very quiet, relaxed, away from all tourists and authentic Cypriot living.

The accommodation itself is very nicely done, great beds and bathrooms. very comfortable with everything you need. There is also a separate larger kitchen area, roof lounge and laundry that everyone can use. All towels and pool towels are available for you here as well.

Everything was perfect. The service (so far as we’re still here) is exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and the team here are simply lovely. They even bought a cake for my mum’s birthday with a card and put it in her fridge as a lovely surprise which was a brilliant thought - thank you!

The only small things for us (mindful we are here for a longer period of time than most guests) is that there were no drawers for storing clothes so we did live out of our suitcases as bit. there is a single wardrobe but that’s it and in number 7 storage for clothes was limited as well. The kitchens are small but reasonably equipped, enough to make breakfast or light lunches etc.

You definitely need a car to travel around here, there is ample parking just a short 40m walk away. it’s quite a hilly area, but stunning views (I cannot stress this enough!). Finally there is one restaurant in Kato Drys right by the turning to Palatakia, we felt we should visit there as it seemed okay and it was so local to us, but it really was underwhelming and poor both in service and food quality so give it a miss and venture out. Visit Liana’s Tavern outside Zygi for some authentic and homemade cypriot food, about a 15 min drive/20km away, well worth it! :)

The place is well directed and the rooms are very stylish, comfortable and clean . We enjoyed two days of quality village holidays . The breakfast was well organised by Eleni . The village is absolutely beautiful . We recommend ''Palatakia Village Houses'' to those who want to spent some days to a quiet destination in Cyprus.

What a wonderful stay. We had 2 rooms, that were beautifully furnished and the friendly staff were so hospitable and helpful in every way. The beds were so comfortable. We loved cooling off in the pool and when our friends arrived from Norway they put them up in rooms nest to ours so it was lovely to be all together at nights and in the mornings. We didn't get a chance to eat in the dining room as we ate out alot and at my families houses, but the meals sounded delicious. We loved driving up to the houses and the views are incredible. There is a cafenio which we frequented most mornings and met lovely locals. There is also a supermarket 10 mins away to stock up on supplies. After 19 nights we didn't want to leave. We have travelled alot around the world and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed in.

Room tip: Rooms by the pool are great

Palatakia is a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is made up of three sections all with a different number of rooms, 11 rooms in total throughout the buildings. Two of them have their own small pools and one has a roof terrace. Your key works for all of them so you can use whichever area you prefer. Alex and Henri were always around to help us, incredibly helpful and polite. They were always around trying to improve the look of each area of the hotel, clearly taking personal pride in how it looks and what works well.

The rooms. We had room 8 which was in a small complex of 5 rooms, we loved our room as it had 4 windows and was light, bright and airy. We got to see the other rooms and also liked room 4 and 6. Each room has a comfortable bed, amazing bathroom and small kitchen area. A small fridge and two hobs for cooking on were also there, no oven though. AC was perfect and the water was always hot.

Breakfast, we had this included in the price for the room and it was sumptuous. Angel made this for us each day, although it's only cold continental she served with a smile and was very welcoming and warm with us. Elena is the cleaning lady and she was always around if you needed anything, very chatty and friendly. The staff honestly could not have been nicer, they were always looking out for us and making sure we had all we needed.

One small improvement - although the buildings are wonderful, there is little room for sun bathing, we managed to find an area next to the pool after moving a little furniture, however if possible more sun bathing space would be fantastic.

Room tip: Room 4,6,8 all were very pleasant.
