“Good but not great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

We arrived on a late flight at the hotel around midnight, tired and not knowing the layout of apartments etc. Usually RCI apartments have a porter for luggage. We were pointed towards our apartment and had to lug our cases up a hill which is about 40% steepness. Not good in heat!!
Our apartment had been shut up all day and was like a sauna. Not a good first night. The restaurant and general staff were off-hand and critical of the decisions (where is the old adage that the customer is always right) To get to the nearest bus stop was down a basically unmade road with building works to be negotiated. Not general RCI standard I am afraid!! Television was not good advertising flat screen TVs. These were in the bar areas, not the rooms. Not impressed.

Room Tip: Air conditioning is essential but noisy.

We have been members for 6 years now & we really are pleased with the apartment & site in general. Best of all though are the bar & restaurant team of George,Andreas,Victoria,Iliana & Nina. They are very professional and make the stay better every year. We make use of the breakfast deal for an all you can eat buffet, followed by the "full english", which is cooked to perfection. All this for around 3 Euros per person per day.
Although not completely finished the site is clean & tidy, but could be better if wi-fi could be made more available,as it is only in the Taverna & Reception areas currently.
We are already looking forward to next years holiday in Paradise. Can't wait !!!!

Had a fab 3 weeks here, for the third year running. Thanks to George, Andreas, Illiana, Victoria and the other staff who made our holiday great. Great food, pool and plenty of entertainment. Danny is a real treasure, especially at the bar-b-cue. Our room had not been revamped and was looking very tired but was still comfortable and clean. All staff work very hard to maintain the complex but a few areas need a bit extra work. ie the gardens.

Just returned from Paradise kings Club which is an excellent holiday complex where the staff are very friendly and courteous. Must make special mention of the Paradise Kings Club restaraunt which supplies first class food. The restaraunt is also open to non residents and even though it is a little off the main road, it is well worth the visit.

Set just back from the main road between Paphos and Coral Bay this is a lovely self contained apartment complex. The rooms are fresh, clean and modern and they get cleaned every day by the wonderful cleaning staff. The kitchens are well equipped and there is air conditioning in every room. Bathrooms are large with double sinks and modern fixtures and fittings and an en-suite to the master bedroom. The balcony stretches from the main living space across to the master bedroom and is well equipped with dining table and loungers. From our apartment we had views of the sea. We were set quite high up on the complex giving us the best views and arguably the quietest location. Our apartment did appear to be a lot more modern than the ones lower down the hill. I think that the higher up apartments, although a bit of a trek in the heat were probably preferable.

There are two pools, one at the top, which was a short wander from our apartment front door and another more 'lively' pool located further down the resort near reception. We never went to the lower pool as they play loud music and it seems to be targeted towards younger children and we were there for a relaxing quiet break. We did wander down for the odd drink at the poolside bar however.

Contrary to other reports you do not necessarily need a car. If those two dangly things under your body work effectively, the bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the site and the 615 runs between Paphos and Coral Bay every 10 minutes during the day. Its a flat 1.50 euro ride whichever way you are going, however for 5 euros a day you can get a day pass which is good value if you plan to go further afield.

Lidl supermarket is a 15 minute walk away and we managed to self cater pretty much all week on about 90 euros for three of us.

There are only two downsides to the resort which is why I didn't give it full marks:
1. they have a pigeon problem. Throughout the day surrounding the top pool there resides a group of between 20-30 pigeons. They will fly around from roof to roof waiting for a quiet period in the pool so they can drink the water. The result is bird droppings around the edge of the pool and the annoying constant flutter of wings as they land and take off...land and take off....and generally make a complete nuisance of themselves. On the first day there was a dead pigeon next to the pool, however to the resorts credit they removed it immediately they found out.

2. The food at the pool bar is truly awful, overpriced, small portions straight from the freezer into the fryer.

The second point is a real shame as the food in the Taverna is lovely and a complete contrast.

All in all we would return again for a nice relaxing week.

Room Tip: The rooms at the top of the complex appear newer and are definitely quieter

Just returned from a wonderful holiday. Having stayed at Capital Coast Resort & Spa for 4 nights, which was a lovely hotel/Apartment with very friendly staff and all modern amenities, seemed to lack a bit of the personal touch. It was a pleasure to go to our Apartment at PKC where the furnishings are very comfortable in comparison, staff very friendly and helpful. We refer to it as our second home. We have excellent sea views, wonderful pools, good restaurant and pool side bar. Annette on Reception is always keen to help with any queries, lovely Lady. We hire a car every time we go from Andrews Car Hire which is just at the bottom of the road, turn left. Helen is very helpful, gives very good value for money on car hire and even takes you back to the Airport if your car hire is returned on the day of departure. We visited Latchi which is a fishing village with Harbour, boasts several restaurants, a nice beach and again very friendly people. We ate in PKC Restaurant which is value for money and offers a wide choice of food, we also ate at Seriani's Restaurant in Coral Bay, Tea for Two Restaurants and other eating places in Kato Paphos. All in all a wonderful holiday, nothing beats Paradise Kings Club for home comforts with every amenity you could wish for including an indoor swimming pool and jaccusi if you don't want to use the outdoor swimming pools. We are already looking forward to our stay next year.

We used our RCI points to book this resort and it was the best we have experienced in Europe. We were give a phase 3 2 bed unit which was in excellent shape. Best local restaurant was Gustoso in our view.

Room Tip: The resort has refurbished units (phase 3?) and these seem to be in best condition. There is furthe...
