Arrived real late, foggy, rainy, cold.
The restaurant was only open for another 40 minutes, we had been driving for 7 hours, tired, etc, etc.
They made check-in to the hotel a snap, showed us where, etc.
We were in the restaurant way past their usual closing time. No rush, no worries. The owner speaks a little English, but he really appreciates it when you use what Spanish you know. Friendly, warm, family atmosphere.
The Hotel was pretty basic. Definitely recently renovated, new floors throughout, modern shower facilities, etc. The shower had better pressure than the one we have at home!
The menu was reasonably priced, a good selection. Try the baked cheese over bananas desert! Crazy! I would never have put those items together, but wow, and big!
All in all a friendly place. A bit rustic, but there arent a lot of alternatives that far away, way up in the mountains. An easy drive to Poas volcano or Waterfall Gardens.
