“So fun!”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

We caught a taxi with our taxi driver Ben. His son was off from school so he came along too. Ben drove us there and guided us down to the river so he also acted as a guide. So fun sliding down! We're in the 50 year old range so was wondering if it would be too hard for us but wasn't difficult or scary at all. Local kids were there showing us how its done and showing how they "surfed" down the rocks. Yell out "laco telly" (sp?) which means "do it again!" in Fijian. You would probably have to know what the water is like in different seasons as it might be too fast running during the rainy season. We went in April and it was just right.

“Slippery slide”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

Take all precautions on the portion of the hike that parallels the water slide as it is usually very slippery. We were told to take off all foot ware. You can use your body to dam up the water. then let it flow and take a ride with the gush of released water. Great fun!

“Great Fun!”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

I am not a thrill seeker by nature and only went down because someone had already told me that the rocks are really smooth and abrasion is not a problem.

The climb up is tricky - we ditched our shoes and went barefoot as it was really slippery and two of our group passed on the idea entirely. Only the centre section really works as a slide but once you are in there is no turning back or controlling your slide - it takes you and you have to clamp your arms straight by your side and keep your body straight else you will bang against the sides. But what a great ride - it throws you round the bend a bit like a bobsled and then down into the pool. Don't forget to hold your breath or you will get a nose full of water like I did! Best part - its free!

Kids go there on sunday afternoons so if you want to see how its down go then. They come down standing up apparently.

Don't miss this one. It's way better than any adventure park....

“Exciting”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

We went just after torrential rain so it was a hard and muddy climb - it was too dangerous for us to have a go as the water was moving too fast but it was great to see. Definitely for the thrill seekers!
