Hard to imagine a less attractive setting: a soulless, plastic building in a shopping centre by the side of a busy motorway. The interior is rather ugly and lacking in atmosphere as well.
Then comes the menu: pretty expensive if you don't have an expense account; wine list to be consulted in pdf format on an iPad. One fears the worst, and the meal hasn't even started. On top of that, some mistakes in the food itself (pasta with scampi too dry, pear flan not cooked right).
Still, overall we had a good experience because of some very good or even great dishes (crab tartare, st jacques with puree of peas; carpaccio of squid; risotto with garlic), the friendly staff and the more than decent wine selection.
If only they would move this restaurant to a better location, in a nicer setting, and would lower the price level by 10-15%, this would be a fantastic place that I would return to again and again... As it is now, probably not going back unless perhaps with some business clients on the way to the airport.
