“Old charm with artistic flair.”
Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

We ended up staying due to a car issue. Our family of 5 was divided amoungst two rooms. Really wish that a baby cot had been added to our larger family room as this would have been lovely and saved us some money at check out. I still feel the bill was slightly overpriced.
The rooms were clean. Some of the furnishings like carpet in room, blankets and bed linens a little outdated and worn. But this is an older hotel so all of that was expected.
The art about the hotel was amazing. The owner has made quite a nice gallery throughout all of the rooms.

This Hotel has history it being at one time a hunting lodge for the king of France so if you like that sort of thing this Hotel is for you. Having said that it has modern facilities and the food is incredible all cooked by the Owner who is also a clever artist. There is plenty of car Park/Motorcycle space all set in a very quiet location. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Two friends traveling together stayed here in September. We had a nice room with 2 beds. The blankets and pillows were a bit musty, but everything was clean and airy. The bathroom was huge and appeared to have been redone recently. Nice balcony over the front of the hotel. We also ate dinner and breakfast here, and enjoyed a drink in the bar. I found the place charming and would stay there again. Some "threadbare carpets" but obviously worn down by the shoes of satisfied guests. No wi-fi. Some lovely outdoor areas but it was cool and rainy while we were there.

Room Tip: It's hard to find a room with two beds in parts of Europe. This was a rare place that had this...

Lovely little old fashioned hotel with mod cons. (i.e. wifi) Breakfast was nice and dinners were delicious. Very convenient to all the WW1 sites.
