Here for our final meal out. We booked ahead just to make sure. The menu has a choice of 4 starters, 3 mains and 4 deserts. The price is great and includes the wine. The service is friendly and efficient. OK, the place is small when the balcony is not open but it is worth the trip.

Recommended by friends, wewent after a nice walk. There were 4 choices of starter, 4 mains and 4 desserts. We all tucked in and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It can get busy as it is popular and there are only 2 people working, the chef and his wife on front of house, but don't let that put you off. It is worth it!

We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions, mainly on an evening and the food has always been excellent, creative, very very tasty and wonderfully presented. This is not a big plate little food restaurant - you get big portions of lovely food with a good selection of local wines from the region (about 13E a bottle if you to at night). We normally have the 20Euro menu of a night which comprises of 3 courses with 3 choices of each course, which change with the season. I can thoroughly recommend the grilled beef which comes with an excellent selection of vegetables and if you ask he will cook chips! Sournia is a village in the mountains about 45 minutes from Perpignan with wonderful views and walks. It really is worth a visit.

This was our third visit to the auberge over the last two months. After a lovely walk with friends to Campoussy we returned for the three course (lunch ) menu de jour. It was well presented, tasty home cooking and also very generous portions. Loads of choice on the menu and exceptional value at only €13.80 including 1/4 liter wine. The restaurant itself is homely and inviting and we received a warm welcome. We will be back!

We were driving from Toulouse to Collioure and took a circuitous route so we could visit the Auberge de Sournia even though it's quite out of the way. Firstly we were intrigued by the excellent reviews we'd read in TripAdvisor. The extra bonus was that we could travel on quiet "green roads" most of the way and hopefully enjoy fine rural scenery along our journey. Well, it turned out to be a huge success on both counts. It was unfortunate that as it was during the weekend the 14 euro menu was not available. Apparently it is wonderful value. Anyhow, we decided to pay twice that figure for the four course "Menu Traditionnel" although there were lower cost options. We received great food and great value. This is not fine dining as in the usual sense of that phrase but it was a fine culinary experience nonetheless. The Gazpacho soup was the best I've experienced, the grilled lamb was tasty, juicy and came with some very imaginative vegetable creations and fried potatoes to die for. The cheese and salad course was quite decent and the Crème Caramel dessert was one of the best I've eaten. I had the strong feeling that this chef is very serious about quality and has a creative streak as well. I feel that nothing leaves his kitchen which is less than 100% no matter how low a price you pay. Highly recommended.
