We went there for our company retreat. We were arranged to stay at the 3 bedrooms chalets. The water heater was faulty and was beyond repair thus we were being upgraded to the newly renovated hotel rooms. However, the toilet at the bath area in the second room was choked and the whole toilet was flooded whenever we bath. This time too was beyond repair and we have to change to another room. However, the toilet bowl in the third room was choked, everytime we did our business, it will choke. Having sick of changing rooms so many times, we decided to stick to it and call the maintainance after we did our business everytime. Reasons being that we were tired and afraid that the next room given will be faulty too and we will be changing room non stop.
The location of the hotel is very far away from the Nagoya shopping mall around 35mins drive and there isn't any facilities in the resort except a swimming pool and a small drinking area with a pool table. There isn't any gym as stated in their website. You can take their shuttle to their sister hotel, Turi Beach for other facilities which is 5 mins drive away.
If you want to stay there, do not stay in chalets (non-renovated but well-maintained) as they are situated up the hills, we have to climb up and down the steep stairs with no railings (124 steps as counted by my daughter) and walk a distance before reaching our chalets. And the spiral staircase leading to the rooms on the 2nd floor was so vertical that we almost slipped.
Thus stay at the newly renovated rooms would be better as they are only within walking distance. The rooms are nice with plasma TV. However beware of faulty rooms.
They have nice seaview. Alot of nice seashells on their beach and their sea is so clear that we can see small fishes swimming and can see my feet in the water. I was surprised as i thought the seawater in Batam was dirty and cloudy.
Although, we have bad experience with the faulty rooms, we enjoyed our stay there as the food served are nice and all the staff are friendly and helpful. They are always smiling especially the receptionist, the guy who helped us with the shifting of rooms, the Manager and staff who handled our group.
