Our first time to Kea. Red Tractor Farm was recommended to us by family members. Marcie and Kostis are the best hosts ever! They are friendly, helpful and had great tips for our vacation. The houses and rooms are clean, well equipped and have comfortable beds. Location is within walking distance of two beaches, multiple restaurants and the ferry. The atmosphere at RTF is extremely relaxing and we recommend it for recharging your batteries.

This was our second time at the Red Tractor Farm and it was just as good as the first. We stayed in the Stone Egg Cottage (upstairs) which is a good size for a family of four with fairly young children. There is a beautiful garden at the back and a very large balcony at the front so you can get the sun (or the shade) whenever you want. The grounds are beautiful and it's like being in the middle of the countryside but with the convenience of the town and shops only a five minute walk away.

The owners do everything they can to make your stay memorable from picking you up from the boat to offering home made products and giving advice about where to go. They will also give you a lift to the capital if they can. Marcie also ordered a rental car for us on Kea and a taxi to meet us from Lavrio port and take us to the airport which was very helpful. The only problem is that, eventually, you have to leave.

We had heard of the RTF when we visited the island of Kea last year. This time we could stay only one night, but we have to be back soon to really enjoy the place. What we experienced has been reported already by the people rating 5/5. Perfectly clean rooms, relaxing atmosphere, attentive hosts.

I recently stayed at the Red Tractor Farm and had a wonderful experience. Kostis greeted my party and supplied us with maps, Greek phrases, ideas about island activities and acorn cookies. He was extremely helpful and took the time to talk with us and make us feel welcome. Our room was also upgraded to something that he felt would be more appropriate for our party and the time of year. We ended up having both the stone cottage studio and egg room, which were cosy, homey and comfortable. The only drawback was that we initially had difficulties finding the farm as there were no signs on the main road or for the driveway. However, it was a wonderful experience and I would love to return!

this review is coming way late than our stay there in Dec 2008 but Costis and Marcie have done a wonderful job with the place and it truly deserves a review,
We were travelling with a 11 month old kid and Marcie went out of her way to buy a beautiful comfortable baby pen for our child to sleep in..
She kept regularly in touch with us at Athens to inform us about availability of ferries as they were getting cancelled often because of the bad weather.
And since Costis was in town going back to Kea,he volunteered to pick us up and took us to the port and finally to the farm...We were touched by their hospitality..They would try and make us comfortable and sometimes provided us stuff from their home needed for our baby.
Right from taking us to the village and guiding us around,They were truly wonderful..Needled to say,the farm is beautiful..rooms are tastefully done.beds comfortable and it was a wonderful time we had there.

Thank you Costis and Marcie and all the best always...

had to return here before the summer had passed, having been in May. Just as glorious comfortable and peaceful and so restorative. Swam in luke warm sea walked on empty beaches went to sleep listening to the Scops owl hooting...so sad to leave. We WILL be back!

We had a wonderful vacation here in Big Fish with our two children, ages 3 and 7. We absolutely loved the room--the architectural details were wonderful and authentic, and there was so much outside space to enjoy. We would have liked there to be air conditioning since we were there during a heat wave, but this is our only complaint. They did supply us with fans. The hotel is a short walk to a beach, though we did have a car so we could explore other beaches on the island too, which I highly recommend--the island is gorgeous and it has some of the nicest beaches we've been to in Greece (and we have been to a lot, being regular visitors). Kea is definitely on our "return to" list, and we'll be staying at RTF again when we do.

The owners were so helpful and kind, and our kids loved the dogs! Ask to try the acorn flour cookies--we LOVED them and brought several packages home. I love that the owners are doing so much to revitalize the acorn industry and it feels good to be supporting them.

Room Tip: Big Fish is wonderful for families, as long as you are OK with you or your children sleeping in a lo...
