The service was minimal when we arrived. Receptionist had very little to say.
The rooms were tired and need a major overhaul. There is no air conditioning in the rooms so sleeping was a little difficult due to the humidity.
The location was close by to all the facilities that we attended.

There was no management to contact after 10pm, even though a manager resides within the complex. We had a horrible incident occur during our stay and eventually had to call emergency services for assistance. Have had no response to our requests and rather disappointed in the way that we we're treated.

Bud bugs..... Very tired decor. What this place needs is to have the new owners (who know they have a problem) to close the place down, get rid of all the old matresses, give it a spruce up then reopen. Great centralish location, close enough to motorway to be handy, not too far from central city at all, museum, art gallery etc. New owners need to address the problems, especially as it is supposidly 4 star accom.
Would not recommend until the problems are sorted.

Arrived late at night after booking by phone and explaining that we would be late, they assured us that that was no problem, but on arrival found office closed and locked and had to ring to be told that we hadn't made a booking and I was wrong to say that we had,m however they had a room so we got in, the next day we went to our conference to hear stories of others having similar experiences the night before at the same motel, and then we came back to find the door to our room had been left unlocked when housekeeping had been in, there was no clock or clock radio in the room but there was in another room we visited, the office staff were only filling in and tried to make amends at the end but by then was too late had spent the weekend fuming.

Excellent location right in the heart of Greenlane and opposite the ASB showgrounds and central to everthing.
When we arrived we were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful lady who we later found out her name was Nyree and she and her husband Neil had recently taken over management of the motel in the last couple of weeks.
We had never stayed at Parklane before so we had no idea what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in one of the family penthouse suites up on the 3rd level. It was very roomy, had an awesome 2 person spa bath and a lovely courtyard area. Unfortunately Aucklands weather was a bit rough as it would of been nice to enjoy a wine or 2 outside in the courtyard.
The bed was very comfy and had nice fresh clean linen on the bed. We really enjoyed our 3 nights here and will difinately be coming back

I picked this place as i was taking my teen daughter and niece to a concert at The Logan Campbell Centre,as it was the closest one and they could walk to it.
We found it very hard to find our room, couldnt find the stairs and when we did found it hard to find our room. Anyway, when we found it, the room was quite small but ok for the one night. There was no smoke alarm fitted, we actually found it sitting on top of the kitchen cupboard with the wires not connected to the battery. A couple of the items from the minibar was expired . The tv sound kept going loud then quiet. I used the microwave to heat up some dinner and it sparked and made buzzing noises like it was going to blow up. The shower sprayed everywhere and we all found it hard to stand under it as water went everywhere, I also found it very hot like a sauna as it had a roof thing over it and the steam couldnt get out. However, our room did have a nice view of the swimming pool, and had a nice little balcony. Was close to a nice noodle hut takeaway that we walked to. Also close to Dressmart. The receptionist was friendly .Would I stay here again? Probably if we had a different room on the ground floor and it was just for the one night.
