You have to know this is a bed and breakfast. Arriving at a fixed time. No restaurant.
But what an extremely original rooms in the annex building. So young and modern, classy and refined. White and brown decoration, heigh wooden ceiling, open shower. A true "Relais and
Chateau junior".
Lovely breakfast, winebar. But realise that this is not a hôtel, so you have to go out for dinner. The surroundings are calme and restfull: an ideal spot for a stayover. In the main house the rooms are traditionally romanctic, but also spacious and beautiful.
The pictures show what you get. And even better, as you seldom receive such a friendliness of owners.

Room Tip: We are not so young , but loved the modern decorated rooms in the low building. There is no elevator...

Imagine driving through a typically beautiful French Mediaeval village (Demigny) and then finding this special place tucked away in a sleepy little back road behind high gates. You drive into a magnificent courtyard, imposing but romantic main house on the right and beautiful outbuildings that have been converted into accommodation on the left. We stayed in Havane, one of 3 "contemporary" rooms as part of our holiday, en route to Provence, it's the perfect half way stopover. The room was beautiful, soothing colour scheme, contemporary touches everywhere (although refreshingly no TV!) combined with a uniquely French charm and style. There is no table d'hôte but it's only 5 minutes away from the town of Chagny which has some fantastic restaurants such as Pierre et Jean and the famous 3 Michelin star Lameloise. Breakfast is served in a light and airy room but of course if the weather is warm and sunny, best start to the day is to have your juice or cup of tea outside. Don't forget to take a look at their amazing rabbits in the garden - they are the biggest rabbits you will have seen! There is a pool here too but we did not get chance to try this out. Lovely place and perfect stopover.

Room Tip: There are 3 contemporary rooms in the outbuilding, where we stayed, and 2 more traditional rooms in...

My boyfriend and I stayed here 28-29th June 2012 whils on our way to the Provence. From Belgium to La Jasoupe is only 4-5 hours and is perfect for a break whilst driving from Belgium to the south of France. La Jasoupe is located near the highway and near Beaune (which I heard is beautiful - did not get the chance to visit this time though)
Accommodation very convenient, beautiful interiors, spacious and modern bathroom, coffee (Nespresso!) & tea making amenities. The fotos on their website are very realistic and it looks definitely as beautiful in real.
For dinner we went to Pierre & Jean restaurant in Chagny, recommended by La Jasoupe and it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast at La Jasoupe was perfect, amenities to press fresh juice, cheese, wonderful jams, great coffee, and very calm so nice to read magazines/the paper. Outside there are loungy seats which are very welcoming to just sit there, relax with a glass of wine which you can order at the B&B.
The only drawback if I can call it like that is the swimming pool which was not fully opened because the lady said the weather had been bad prior but that day it was 35 degrees so I found that a pity the swimmingpool was not very welcoming (you could swim but the glass protection was still around the swimming pool).
Overall, definitely stay there - The atmosphere is fantastic.

We tried to book La Jasoupe for mid july. First we booked online a 'Gite', along with the downpayment. A day later they responded saying that this was actually overbooked and offered us an alternative. We gladly accepted this and made a new deposit (june 4), on june 21 I made the full payment, but since i never received a confirmation I mailed them asking for this. Since then we have emailed every week. No reply. Calls weren't answered. Last week we finally spoke with the manager Carine who promised to get back to us the same night. Never heard from her again. Today I mailed and called again. No reply. They also just don't pick up the phone. Now we have to try to get our money back through visa. Guess she felt we couldn't be saved as regular clients anymore. Yes, you're right Carine, if you close your eyes it never happened: very professional!

Dear Mr VAN ESCH,

You booked a gipsy caravan on June 2nd 2012 on our booking website for a stay on July 14th 2012.
Your booking was confirmed the same day directly by our booking system by sending you an e-mail.
UNFORTUNATELY you never came. We received no phone call and no e-mail from you.

We had to apply our cancellation conditions, that you accepted, when you made your reservation .
Best Regards,
Carine RYAUX

We stayed at La Jasoupe for 2 nights in June on our way home following extended stays in Dordogne and Provence regions. The main purpose of our stay was to take a look at the Burgundy area and to decide whether it was one we would wish to visit for a longer period.

Although we asked for one of the modern rooms as shown in their photographs, we were allocated a large and very comfortable room in the main house decorated in the traditional French style. The breakfast whilst being "self service" for beverages, eggs, cheese, ham and yogurt with bread and pastries on your table is very good. The owners are very trusting as in the bar/TV area they have a selection of wine that you can purchase and leave your room number to enable them to add it to your bill.

The village location of La Jasoupe is ideally suited for access to and from the A6 and hence visiting Beaune and the surrounding area and vineyards. Should you intend to visit Beaune be aware that it is closed on a Sunday. We visited Nuits St George, Chateau Clos de Vougeot and Chateau Andre Ziltner for purchase of wine.

In summation, La Jasoupe is a very good location for visiting the area and represents great value.

Room Tip: You can have either modern rooms or traditional French but do not appear to have a choice as we did...

We've spent a fairly wet week-end from friday to monday (April 13th to 16th) in La Jasoupe's Ronsard room.
The location is great looking. The owners live in the castle, the 3 rooms are located in an old building on the side, with window on both East (street) and West (gardens) orientation. The gardens are great looking and the general einvironment is extremely calm and quiet. Behind the little castle are 6 "roulottes" which look very nice. Also the old pigeon house is for rent but we didnt visited it. The fist floor is occupied with a large and confortable breakfast, bar (you can pick a bottle if you wish and get it on your bill) and TV room.
Our Ronsart room was great looking, very large and confortable. The deco is very trendy, the furniture and equipment is really high end and we appreciated it all.
The owners have been very kind, open to any question and focus on getting us feeling welcome.
On the sightseing side, and despite a rainy ambiance, we went from good experience to other. We cross the wineyard from Marsannay to Mercurey and back (so Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune) stopping from time to time in wyneries all outstanding. I specially recommend Chateau de Santenay (Santenay), de Montille (Volnay), Bouchard and Patriarche (Beaune), Clos de Vougeot (Vougeot), Hospice de Beaune (not only for wines), and a lot of little restaurants and places to "ahve a drink". Notably a nice wine tasting class at "Sensation Vin" (http://www.sensation-vin.com/fr/), ideally to do at the beginning of your trip so you get the picture clear if not familiar with the specifics of this wineyard.
Back to La Jasoupe, the place is ideally located to reach all of these places so definitely a good spot, with real good value for money.

Room Tip: Ronsard is real good, but other are very similar, so no headache to make decision.
