Chill spot, nice waves and beautiful view. But the people working in the restaurant are the worst ever
You can buy “shade” for the price of a nice hotel.
Can’t sit on the table if you don’t eat.
Wouldn’t recommend otherwise bring your own shade, own food

Lovely beach with cheap beanbag hire and cold Bintangs. But......
If snorkelling solo, keep well away front the small island as the current is deadly there and WILL drag you fast out to sea. With zero lifeguards ,you’re on your own ,no one will hear your distress calls. If you are lucky you will end up on on the rocks like me.
Bad personal life-threatening experience, great shame as fantastic reef fish are there in areas ,just keep to the left hand side. Take care!

Personal experience of this place has taught me to be careful before you go into the sea as my friends and I almost didn’t make it out alive. The waves can get extremely choppy and start dragging you out so make sure you’re in a safe and comfortable enough area where you know you can swim back to shore.
Given my personal experience here, I’d still recommend people visit as it’s a beautiful beach to go swimming in but just to be mindful if you’re not a strong swimmer or travelling alone.

beautiful white and black sandy beach, cold water and expensive coconut (kelapa muda). The beach was good for swimming enjoying the waves.

Excellent visibility for snorkellers- a lot of fish life as well including some awesome trigger fish!

Some small stingers near the cliffs so just to be aware!

Recommend for snorkelling
