Owner description: Viña Casa Marín is a family-owned boutique winery located in the San Antonio appellation, founded by María Luz Marín in 2000, a passionate wine maker and entrepreneur. Viña Casa Marin is now recognized as one of the 100 best vineyards in the world. Its truly unique terroir, just 4 kilometers from the coast, makes it currently Chile's closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean. Casa Marin has been described as the “most daring and innovative vineyard” in Chile, famous for their cool climate fine wines. They have won many awards including the “Best Sauvignon Blanc in the World” in 2010 and the best in Chile in 2013. Open for private tours and tastings of their Premium wines, lunches with the family members and winemaker, and overnight stays in the private Bed & Breakfast, situated at one of the vineyard’s most privileged spots with a spectacular view of the Pacific ocean.

We are a NYC city based couple and we stayed at Casa Marin vineyard in late Jan 2013. It was one of our best vineyard experience ever. Tour was 1:1 and our tour guide Victoria was exteremely hospitable and fun.

The lodge on top of the hill with windmill and views of pacific was out of the world. Our cook was great and food with wine was very nice.

We would strongly recommend this place.

This winery is still relatively new but they have done an excellent job in the short time they have been producing wine. Their white wine has been rated one of the best in the world, although I preferred their delicious reds.

I came with a small group of mostly native English speakers and they set us up with an English speaking guide who was wonderful. He did a great job explaining the history of the vineyard and different wines.

Fun facts, this winery is very close to the ocean- in fact I believe this winery holds the record for being the closest to the ocean. Which presents a very unique growing climate for the grapes and in this case has allowed them to create an awesome selection of wine.

Casa Marin and Kingston were my two favorite wineries in Chile- highly recommended.

My husband, 1 year old son & I recently stayed at the Casa Marin B&B. We loved everything about it, from the tour & tasting, to the wonderful dinner and breakfast prepared by Maria right in the villa (breakfast is included, dinner is an additional fee--WORTH IT! So delicious!) The views were amazing and the villa was super clean and modern. We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I found this B&B when traveling through the Casablanca valley, seeking vineyards to experience. Although there are many, many wineries to experience (Matetic, Casa Marin, etc.), there is a glut of good places to stay for the night in this area. We were pleasantly surprised to find this B&B associated with the Casa Marin Winery, that was both affordable and wonderfully maintained.

You are actually renting an entire cottage, not just a room. The casita that we rented for the evening had a kitchen, two rooms with queen sized beds, and two bathrooms. The living room had a dining table and a closed, wood burning stove/fireplace. Views are spectacular as they are situated in the actual vinyards. Cottages were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet during the evening. The design aesthetic is modern. On clear days, you can see the ocean. There is a grill on the patio.

Because this place is far from a busy town, they offer meals brought to you at the casita. We paid for Maria to come cook for us at a reasonable price for dinner. Breakfast is included with the rate, and Maria came back the following day to cook us breakfast at a time of our choice. Food was very good.

For those who want to be isolated, this is a perfect place. There is no TV or internet service. So for those who need to remain connected, please note again that there is no internet.

We found this to be the absolutely perfect place for us to stay the evening during our wine tour.
Because the drunk driving laws are rigorous (0.3 maximum blood levels), we wanted to stay at a vineyard to enjoy the wine, the country side, and not worry about driving long distances.

We had a tasting at Casa Marin, and a a tour at Matetic (which is about 20 to 25 minutes away).

Needless to say, we would do this again.

We were fortunate enough to spend a family weekend here. It was wonderful. The surrounds are breathtaking and it’s a great place to relax. We have stayed in a lot similar places in Chile and by far the Villa at Casa Marin has been the best. It’s really well set up and it is fantastic to be able to have it all to yourself. Our kids exhausted themselves playing between the vines and running in the fields whilst we enjoyed a Pinot Noir as the sun set over the ocean. We also managed to do some damage to the credit card by stocking up on some fantastic wines whilst there!

Highly recommended for a stress free, relaxing weekend away.
