We took a friend out for her birthday, it was a great find, right next to the sea shore.
I had such a lovely time at this restaurant, wonderful location, amazing fresh local fish.

We were a party of four at Sunday lunchtime. Started with the Antipasto Completo of different hot and cold seafood, followed by a large branzino (sea bass) to share. All were fresh and well-cooked, served in a relaxed beachside environment. Good selection of wines. Most enjoyable.

What a great location for a restaurant, out on the water edge on the peninsular. We spotted this restaurant from the hill tops whilst driving the coast of Ancona, drove down & was pleasantly surprised. Park in the main (swimming ) car park, but tell the attendant that you just want to eat & he will let you in for 2 euro, swimmers pay a lot more. The food was fantastic & you have to have the seafood as it so fresh, desert inst that bad either. Wine can be expensive at around 28 euro a bottle, but 3 people ate 3 courses for for 64 euro. From the window you get to watch the swimmers play in the water which just adds to the atmosphere. If in the area make an afternoon of it & relax.

This restaurant serves seasonal fish and sea creatures. The best dishes are nothing else than minimal interventions on the products. You must try the mix of starters and please eat with your hands and lips.
The sparing use of salt and quasi absence of decorations tells you that the cooks rely on restraint.
Please be aware that a lot of their produce is seasonal: not all fish is available all of the time.
The wine list specialises in small but high class producers of the local verdicchio grape.
Unless you sleep in the hotel next door, getting to this place will take some planning.

Apparently the Parco de Conero is the local "riviera" a welcome break from the high rise hotels of Rimini and Pesaro. Porto Nuovo is really not a town just a pretty setting with a beautiful bay, a fancy hotel and a campsite. Il Molo sits right on the beach front alongside a number of other restaurants. Don't bother going for the beach (Sirolo, on the other side of the headland has the sandy beaches and a pretty town perched up high) although hundreds of Italians squeeze on to the rocky shoreline.

The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a classic fritto mistto, grilled calamari and spaghetti with shellfish. The shellfish pasta tasted like it had just arrived that morning with fantastic flavours and the calamari melted in your mouth.

We went with our 7 month old son and he was made to feel most welcome. definitely worth a trip.

In the middle of summer I suggest you park at the top of the hill and take the free shuttle bus down to the waterfront.
