We stayed three nights at La Colombara di Villa Verita in May 2012. We had a wonderful time. The villa is close to Verona, but also a good location for visiting the Valpolicella area and Lake Garda. The appartment 'La Colombara' in the old tower of the villa is spacious, very tasteful and well equiped. Perfect! We felt very much and home, especially because of the warm welcome of Ginevra. Many thanks and hope to be back!

My daughter, wife and I stayed at the Villa Verita for two weeks in July/August of 2010. Our hostess (Ginevra) was very welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. A particular highlight was the visit she arranged to her family's vineyard - and she came along as guide to make sure we had a tour of the whole site. The wine they produce is also rather special - and we made sure to buy plenty to take home with us. Not cheap - but then good wine isn't!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and would heartily recommend this villa to everyone. Beautifully located just a few kilometres from Verona, but with all shops and restaurants available locally.

NB: I have shown that I travelled to this location in June 2011 - ignore that!! It was in July/August 2010. I would have added a review then, but at the time, I could not find Villa Verita on TripAdvisor.

Our host, Ginerva, could not have been more gracious and welcoming to her villa, also proving a memorable tour and tasting at her brother's family vineyard, Serego Alighieri, that dates back to Dante (we saw the family tree!). The Tower Studio was quiet, spacious, with a bedroom loft, and well appointed with a mix of the old and the new. The circular stairway is not for the faint of heart, reminding us to travel light next time. Highly recommended.

Our 3 night stay in this beautiful villa and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner were a highlight of our 5 week trip around Europe. Our 2 teenaged daughters (16 & 18) enjoyed staying at the villa and being so close to the beautiful city of Verona was great. We would go back again any time. Thank you Ginevra.

“The Universe is a guesthouse for countless many things and Time but a traveller through the ages. Our troubled daytime life resembles a dream. How often can one rejoice? .....” (Li Po, 701-762 C.E.)
If Li Po is still travelling, he perhaps could pay a visit to Villa Verità and wonder, whether he might be awake or dreaming, savouring the beauty of ages long forgotten, indulging Italy´s nearby treasures (Verona, Venice, Padova ....) and amenities of today. All sublimated in the person who inherited Villa Verità from her forebearers and has turned it into a magic place to stay: Ginevra Serego Alighieri. To whom Li P would surely say: now we are ...

“intimates forever, we'll wander carefree
and meet again in Milky Way distances.”
